Any idea what this 3-letter code may mean on a scratch off?
That must be the reason why I only three codes on my site for Tennessee.
Do a Google search for Tennessee Scratch Off Lottery Codes .

NY Scratch-off Discussion
the problem is with the crosswords is if the codes are losing codes you still have to scratch them off because losing codes are for jackpots also.I wish if you had a jackpot it would say pot or jack.It isnt that simple i use to see mkn and think it was a loser until i figured that mkn can also be a million dollar jackpot code.I wish i could spend 5 hours scratching but i dont have the patience. My wife hates when i get a roll because of the blue mess that comes with it and especially my blue hand

NY Scratch-off Discussion
That is the only downside and reason I dont get a Bingo roll. I once got a Crossword and it took me 3-4 hours to scratch 100 tickets. I had to play all the loosing codes to make sure they are losers.
But if you have time id say go for it. It is a lot of fun if you get 2-3 words already early on.

The Georgia Lottery
I am not sure about the codes. Is there a usual code for each dollar amount? I don't know if they are the same for every ticket or amount. Right now I am trying to get paint to rotate the picture by 180 degrees, but it is taking a while. I guess 160 MB is a little bigger than it likes. I wonder if I should try another program. My computer is not acting right. I know that it is old as dirt, but I built it from scratch, at it is pretty good for its age.

Going to be buying a roll of tickets in PA
Once you're done scratching all those tickets, do a google search for Pennsylvania Scratch Off Lottery Codes with the quotes. The only site listed is mine.
Good luck!

scratching the barcode first?
In NC they don't use readable rify codes,so you can't verify if you have a winning ticket or not. They learned their lesson in VA - GTech originally... People would scratch a ticke, think they didn't win, then look at the code and it would say like TWF = $25. So, when it came to setting up NC they changed all that so the people would throw away more winnings tickets more money would eventually go into the general fund for the state. Watch yourselves out there. God Bless Happy Easter - Pogo

Do confusing tickets lead to unaware winners?
the VA scratch offs are the same- which makes it easier to find out if you are a winner or not-- as compared
to NY MD FL the codes are very confusing

Change in Penn. Lottery scratch tickets removes shortcut
You should always check scratch off tickets completely. Some states which use the 3 letter codes only have meaningful codes for prizes up to $599 (useful for retailers to verify tickets). Big prizes may have a "non-winning" 3 letter code on them. For example, here in Florida, a common non-winning 3 letter code is "NVW". However, I have seen a big winning ticket (over $600) use the same "NVW" code.
So, always check tickets completely...big winners may have seemingly non-winning 3 letter codes.

New sight validation codes
This wont solve that problem, once the players figure out where the codes are on the tickets they will just scratch that part of the ticket to see if they won or not,They do the same thing here in ny.
