If you won a huge jackpot would you feel obligated to share it?
This would not be a gift, in a lottery pool only ticket win the j/p. An everyone get a equal share and no one sign the ticket. It maybe five or more people in the pool and each can received cash value or annuity. So with a lawyer you should be able to let your family be a shared winner of that ticket.

So what would the "Holy Grail" of Pick 3 playing be?
Well, I'm not sure where you're getting your definitions of filter and pool from. But, a filter is a filter and a pool is a pool. You have a pool of numbers and you filter them down. There's no confusion with this. So, anyway, I've developed what can be considered the holy grail of the Pick 3 and I've been using it for a long time now. Yes, it involves a reduced set of numbers. Also, it provides a way to play in a very ordered and timely manner. However, it does not guarantee that a set of

Powerball: Quick Picks or Pick Your Own Numbers?
PB bet slips in MA allow you a maximum 3 lines. So every player in their pool would have to fill 2 bet slips. With their 12 member pool, those are 24 bet slips

When is 55 going to be in a MM winning combination?
MegaMillions has had 91 drawings since its new matrix of 5/75 + 1/15 begin and all the other numbers has been drawn at least twice and 44 of them six or more times. It's like 55 is not in the number pool. That's like reducing the possible combinations by 17,259,390. Until 55 comes up I'm going to start playing like the number pool only has 74 numbers.

For Fun: You a regular participant in your lottery pool but this time...
When I played in a lottery pool at work the rule was if you didn't pay then you weren't in simple because those who weren't in only wanted to pay after the drawing if the winnings were more than the cost to be in. What a concept, a lottery pool that you only pay to be in after it wins.

Powerball: Quick Picks or Pick Your Own Numbers?
Your pool sounds more like a group wanting to multiply their chances of winning, but some pools are created because somebody is very lucky and other people want to cash in on their luck. With the former type of pool it doesn't matter, but in latter, I'd defer to the lucky one's opinion.

increase your odds playing pick 3
Subset the pool by setting N=5, N=6 , N=7 for 5c3, 6c3, 7c3. Now you have to come up with a concept/ formula to make N viable. N=5 012345012345, N=6 0123456012345, N=7 0123456701234567. N5/N6/N7 will give a BASE key for reduced picks. You can use the concept of sequential difference, extrapolation(recurrence) of each digit by simulating each pool size .

(Just For fun)- You part of a pool where one of the members decides...
I don't know, but I reckon it would wind up in court if he thought that way and the others in the pool did not. That's why you need a signed and notarized agreement when participating in a lottery pool.

Back to minimum jackpots again on MM and PB
Maybe the games aren't random enough that smart players unlike yourself and me are able to predict their outcomes. Ohio Classic Lotto(6/49) has gone over two years without a hit and now has the largest jackpot in the world. It only has a pool of 49 numbers and no bonus numbers so that's proof that a larger pool of numbers is not necessary to make a game difficult to win.

Lottery pool can't be a business in Tennessee
This kind of lottery pool sounds Hokey. Why should the money collector get a fee if he is sharing in the proceeds on an equal basis, with the pool members?
