would you still play?
Good luck retiring from winning a lottery game with less than half a million combinations. I suppose you could if you won it twenty times in a row, but it's impossible if you only beat those odds once. The whole point of Powerball and Mega Millions is to have to beat such astronomical odds to win the top prize, but if you beat them just once you can retire. Despite the recent low jackpot wins in Mega Millions, I don't see it increasing its matrix anytime soon so long as it doesn't let in any

Oregon Lottery workers to vote on joining union
If they vote to join a union, they should try to get OR to change Lose for Life to include a cash option, or to retire it. If they worked at Wal*Mart, they could forget about joining a union.

Powerball adding 10x ball to PowerPlay
I don't think I'm going to PowerPlay any more even with the 10x slot. I did last Saturday and once again didn't hit a single number, just like the only other time I did. In fact, I'm going to disregard jackpot sizes and just play one and only one ticket (without PowerPlay) for every drawing regardless of how high the jackpot is. I'm not going to play Mega Millions anymore either, even if its jackpot is a record. It takes only $1 to dream of winning any jackpot size, and assuming no multiple

Study in Prediction for Jeff's "R" State.
LOL so true on the time zone. I can drive 10 minutes one way and pop into another time zone... drive 20 minutes the opposite direction and go back into the 1st time zone. I just threw away my watch, since I really don't know which time it is anyway. P.S. for Jeff - WHY did you retire to Indiana? Even my own uncles who retired from the military purchased retirement homes across the bridge (Kentucky) since that state doesn't suck so much from their retirement checks like Indiana does.

GA's Combined Game*Week of January 15*
Exactly! LOL Thanks, em! Lord knows, I'll probably never be able to retire with this particular system, but let's hope it continues to be FUN.On a slightly more serious note though, miss em..... I was wondering, and I'd appreciate some advice....I'm thinking about moving this general topic of 65-or-so suggested singles that I've been pursuing lately ------ to my blog. There, any member that plays GA's games, and is interested, can still find the topic fairly easily. It's too many to po

Which scratchers do you play?
I like win for life here in CT which is $3 bucks and aces high is a $1.Also mega money $2 ticket You might want to rub those tickets. Scractch off tickets are retired after a year or when all tickets with grand prize are won they retire and sell out the last of the tickets and stop making them. Not sure if they do this in all states but, CT posts a message to people in stores to let them know this plus they have it on the web page for new arrivals and the one that are ending and the one that hav

A new show about the lottery (Windfall)
Since I don't watch TV I guess I will miss the promos and the show. 386 million split 20 ways as a post tax (the full 35% since you are dreaming if you think you'll pay only 25%) lump sum would only be 7.5 million (assuming MM more generous cash prize) or 482,500 as a 26 year annuity (less if it's Powerball). This is hardly a massive amount of cash. It's more than enough for me to retire on but not in luxury. More like a nice upper middle class retirement. Also I wouldn't be surprised if the st

Lucky For Life
show me where you can for a buck turn a 1 dollar investment and net 270,000 in ten years and i'll empty my bank account.27,000 a year supplemental income can buy a really nice house. And a new vehicle every 3 to 5 yrs.Not to include a nest egg if you know how to invest the money. It all depends on how you look at it. Seems like everybody wants to win a lottery game and be set for life. I'm sure they looked at the overall projection the amount of dollars they might have to pay in the long run. I

No more systems disscussed
Excuse me...your Holiness....There are alot of outrageous claims here at th LP. Everything from I get one number everday with Keno, at $150.00 an hour To I've paid my mortgage, and my salary and bought the space shuttle, and climbed Mount Everest in a single bound .If you were such a hot shot missy, and much smarter with your winnings, you wouldn't be sitting in front of a computer, wasting time, throwing out attitudes of your ilk. You would be sipping margaritas on some tropical island, wi

Keno System that really works
Blind Monkey (A.K.A Vick), you asked what good is 1 out of 20?If you were awake during Math classes back in high school, you wouldn't have asked this stupid Question. You can retire in a month if you've got the talent to guess 1 out of 20. 1 out of 20 is worth $150 every hour (15 games) if you bet $100 on the 15th game, in a keno that pays $2.50 for one number. the bigger the bet the more you won. got that ? See, your mom told you not miss your classes, especially Math..! just teasing ya Monkey.
