Connecticut Gov. considers dumping Powerball
Well, there would be pros and cons. One is that we'd have another state minus a multi-state game (plus Florida). And such a move would prove to hurt Powerball's reputation. On the other hand, we'd have a lot more people playing Classic Lotto, and that would mean faster moving jackpots.

billion dollar jackpots
I am 29 and I do not think we will see a billion dollar jackpot in my lifetime. It would be nice to dream but the reality is that neither of the multi- state games have been out of the 300+ million range in the last five years. It takes a special run to get to those high jackpots and I think that it would fall long before it got that high. I would be happy with another 300+ million jackpot to play for and if it was powerball since that is the game I play.

Tri-state and Multi-state
Hey there, the Tri-State consists of 3 states, Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine for Pick 3 Pick 4. Also Tri-State Heads or Tails game Tri-State Megabucks, etc. The Multi-State,(meaning many more states participating in the games) are the games like Powerball, Megamillions, Lotto South, Hot Lotto, etc. For a better reference click on Results located on the left side of this page, then click on Multi-State. You will then see all of the games listed.

Californians snap up tickets for new Mega Millions lottery game
That would be nice. But they said they'd only add one more state, and that would be it, no more states. That means Florida will be joining Powerball, starting a new multi-state game, or simply not go multi-state.

Favorite Draw Show
Which state (or multi-state game) do you think has the most entertaining draw show. Hey, theres another reason balls are better. If they all went to computers, there would be no more Mike Pace, or Linda Kollmeier, or YOLAAAAAANNNNNDA VEGA! anymore. Just an automated voice like you find on airport trains.<Realizes he's straying off the initial topic>Anyway, which state has the best draw show?

Mega Millions or Powerball?
I don't think so. If people were really good at math then they wouldn't be playing a multi-state game at all. 80 million vs 180 million is still staggering odds for people playing only 1-4 dollars per drawing it wouldn't really make any real difference.

Could you see a day...
When every game is multi-state. When pick-6 games have gone extinct, all replaced with 5+1 type games. When the only ball drawing states are in the south (where they're kept under more scrutiny, not neccesarily bad). When annuities pay out over 50 years? When every ticket costs $2 or more.I hope none of this stuff ever happens. But they're current industry trends.

Could powerball be fixed
If the drawings are fixed then why the lucky string of jackpot winners earlier this year? If any multi-state game is fixed, it's Mega Millions, because its jackpots broke $100 million three runs in a row, and its jackpot will probably break $100 million again this run.

Problems with PB drawing?
I read this earlier on the internet. POWERBALL, May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Powerball drawing for Wednesday,May 25, 2005, was delayed 42 minutes due to a minor problem with Powerballsecurity procedures. The drawing was held in the presence of a city policeofficer and an independent auditing firm, was videotaped, and was displayed onthe Powerball website at http://www.powerball.com. The official numbers drawn were: 27-29-31-42-46 and the red Powerball: 33.The Power Play multiplier was 2.

Ky's Double Up Cash ends May 28th
The idea of a rolling pick 5 game was great. Bad idea for Double up Cash though.Ky needs something like TN's lotto 5. Wouldn't surprise me if KY would want to join up with TN and have a multi state lotto 5. (Ky already has 2 multistate lotto games) In this case I would hope TN declines because I like Lotto 5 the way it is now. If ky joined TN and both had a Multistate pick five the matrix would suck.
