Does anyone really play Lottery as their day job
I know a lot of people in Florida who are rertired and play the lottery games as a hobby, but the Social Security Checks and pension plans are still paying for the quart of milk, loaf of bread and stick of butter.

UK Lottery operator bids for Pennsylvania lottery
I too am apprehensive about the privatization of the lottery just as I am apprehensive of privatizing social security. As history abounds, the so-called supply and demand philosophy cannot work very well in both instances.

NY brothers charged in plot to steal $5M New York Lottery ticket
Don't you find it odd that after six years the lottery commision was able to find the guy that was the rightfull owner. How does that even work? Second how would john doe prove that he purchased the ticket? Third i wasn't aware that stores keep six years of security footage. Smells a little fishy on both ends.

Iowa couple claims $202.1M Powerball jackpot
So you wouldn't take a couple months and proper precautions before claiming a prize? The government set the rules, why wouldn't you take the time to protect yourself, even if it took a little work. 5 hrs of total work. 10 minutes to fill out name change application, 1 hour in court, 1 hour to update drivers license, 1 hour to update social security information. Couple hours of travel time. most states don't allow you to claim anonymously.

NJ moves to privatize lottery sales, marketing
I too am in agreement with limited privatization, though I am wary of total privatization of lottery games, a hundred percent. The state should still oversee the lotto games. Total privatization of the lotto games may suffer the same pitfalls of privatizing social security.

California Lottery investigating $1M payout
What we're discussing is when you're used to buying your tickets at different random places and random times and one of them turns out to be a big winner and when you go to claim it at the main lottery offices and they ask you a series of security questions such as where did you buy that ticket and what date and time. I know I'd be stumped.

McGinnin: Why do you put that specific info online? Birthdays are often security question related for accounts. I never give out my info.
