Florida Fantasy-5 Players
Want to see at just a glance the difference two drawings per day has made on ticket sales?
Check the number of Free Ticket won on The Florida Fantasy5 web page maintained by The Florida Lottery.
Every day prior to the change there were typically 75,000 to 85,000 Free Ticket won by the players. Yesterday there were a total of 75,000 for both draws, but 50,000 of them came from the evening draw. Twice as many tickets were sold for the evening draw as the midday. There's no new news in that

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
The jackpot for the evening draw is $122,000 for one player.
That says the take for the draw was $394,000. $197,000 went to Florida, the other $197,000 to the winners prize pool.
Sixty two percent of the winners prize pool ($122,000) which was the jackpot.
OK, $122,000 isn't all that bad. But if you add $42,000 to $122,000 you get $164,000 which is generally what the old jackpots amounted to.
And then there is this - there's a $25 promo going on. How much of the total take ($394,

Florida Lottery Fantasy Five going to twice a day--will you still play?
I picked up a small brochure at Publix yesterday that explained the new change to Fantasy5.
From reading it, it's very possible that the new additional drawing will not negatively impact the jackpot amount for the evening drawing.
On the new FF5 playslip players will be able to select the draw time. They can select MID for the midday drawing, EVE for the evening drawing or BOTH for both the evening and midday drawing. If no draw time is marked, the terminal will automatically print a tic

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
I think it's very possible that The Florida Lottery is expecting a player backlash regarding the new two draws per day change.
People don't like change in general and it's my guess that FF5 players will at first react negatively to the change. The Florida Lottery is well aware of that. (Because they saw what happened in other states when the other states went to two Pick5 drawings per day)
What better way is there to offset the players initial negative reaction than to throw them a bone

A jackpot never increases with a roll down . Jackpots increase with a roll over.
FF5's official rules were not changed. The only thing that is changing is the number of drawings per day. A rolldown of the top tier prize (the jackpot) is still going to happen. The official rules say absolutely nothing about the number of drawings per day, therefore The Florida Lottery does not have to change the official rules to add an extra drawing each day.
FF5 uses a roll down , not a roll over . Me

Winning the JACKPOT: Is it Fate, Destiny or Luck?
I like to pick my numbers and I have a system for picking them, but I have no illusions that my way is the highway to a jackpot win.
Me too! But usually the best I get is four out of five on 5/39 games and a couple five out of six (20 years ago) on a 6/49 Ohio Lotto game. Matched five a couple times using abbreviated wheels possibly the lottery's way of saying it's not as easy as you think .

Washington winner of $754.6 million Powerball jackpot claims prize
Washington Lottery represents winner at press conference
By Kate Northrop
Today, the Washington Lottery announced that the sole winner $754.6 million Powerball jackpot stepped forward to claim the prize.
The name of the $754.6 million Powerball jackpot winner is now known to the public after the Lottery announced the identity of the person who won the behemoth prize in February.
The Washington Lottery revealed the winner's name to be Becky Bell of Auburn, a long-time Boeing emplo

What are the odds?
Tonight I was looking into the PA Fast Play winners of jackpot prizes over the last year and something struck me odd.
The same out of state winner took not 1, but 2 progressive jackpots in the PA Fast Play games ...one totaling $540K in August and another totaling $2.4MM in January. I know this is possible but I find it hard to believe that the same person could defy odd of 1:1,200,000 and 1:800,000 in less than 5 months. Something seems off..

Biggest reason for Lottery Winners going broke soon? :/
Back in the day most of the $1 million lotto jackpot prizes were annuities paying 20 payment of $50,000 before taxes. Nice prize but didn't last very long after purchasing big ticket items on credit. Not every winner went broke, but an extra 40 grand a year convince many of them to retire.
That's because they never had much money to practice with in the first place.
And why many people lost and are still losing bit coin investments. Have you noticed the how will you spend your winnings

Asked ChatGPT How To Win the Lottery
Reply to Todd and anyone else who thinks playing more tickets decreases the odds.........
I'll try one more time. On any given jackpot drawing let's comsider all the tickets played as having been played by one player.
Thar being the case, considering different apptoaches posted in this thread;
1. Where are the jackpots? (Not geographically)
2. why are there so few?
