Idea for PA
Quote: Originally posted by LckyLary on January 26, 2005 PA should get rid of MATCH 6 because 2/3 of it is forced quick pick and the jackpots are pathetic. LuckyForLife is ok just increase it to 1000/week and as weekly checks, not yearly. Or how about 1000/week tax-free because otherwise it's really around 600 - not enough to retire on.ONE REALLY ANNOYING THING on PA slips, you can't void off a botched play, you have to redo the whole thing! It's great when you can play 1 and then save the sli

New Psychic Lottery Predictions
Quote: Originally posted by dragon on September 01, 2004So why haven't all the experienced RVers won the lotteries? There are about 10 famous ones out there, and say 100 good ones. Each one should go for one jackpot and retire.I said this here once before somewhere: Joe McManeagle, the most famous RVer, missed 9/11 completely in his predictions in 1998 of the near -- and far -- future. Does that make you wonder? And ditto for the really good dowsers and psychics. I wonder how many are pooling

Iowa Lottery CEO Gets $81,000 Raise
And, in addition, he said the state will save money by not having to do an executive search for a new director. No one else on the commission knows his duties? He isn't, as a part of his job, training anyone to take over on his departure? How about the fact that now that he makes over $200,000 a year, who'd ever take the job for less, now that the state has shown its willingness to pay that much? How about the fact that, when Mr. Stanek does retire, his entitlement will be based on his higher sa

Australian Man Wins Lottery Three Times in One Night
Wasn't me!When do I ever get to go on vacation. Lucky bugger. (That's a quite acceptable Australian expression; even an ex Prime Minister used it.)Back to work. (But I'm going to retire soon so I can spend more time on my Lotto Program, get out during the week on my old sailing boat with the whole of beautifull Sydney Harbour at my disposal and go for a burn more often in my old 1983 Ford Capri Turbo sports car (Australian made - well at least the metal body - Mazda engine) with only 25,000 Km o

Tennessee Senator criticizes Lottery vacation, sick leave policy
I cant understand why anyone would want to sell their sick leave, when they leave. Hell, when I got ready to leave (retire) I'll be damned if I would take half of the leave I built up during my tinure. When I got ready to leave, I would just use my sick leave. All of it. All the while building more sick (and vacation) leave. So they're getting something we're not getting. It's kinda like knowing someone who hits the lottery. Aren't we just a little jelous that they hit it, and not you ?

Paul, 3 lottery executives paid $300,000 when they quit Georgia jobs
This reminds of a situation here in Wisconsin a couple of years back. The Milwaukee County Executive set up a sweetheart of a deal where he was due a $2.6 Million payout when he was to retire from various pension benefits. Talk about winning the lottery. Other county employees were also due high sums of payouts upon retirement. To make a long story short, he would have been recalled from office but retired first and was shamed into not taking the lump sum payout.I think it is crazy that public
