When will these nitwits learn that ponzi schemes NEVER work out? Medium security prisons are filled with ponzi schemers who ended up ripping off people for millions/billions of dollars, and every single one of these remorseless criminals says the exact same thing: I didn't mean for it to continue; I did it one time because we were short of funds, and I got in too deep couldn't pay people back...

Few major lottery jackpot winners get chance to be anonymous
Keep it simple move to a gated community with security, everyone there already has lots of $ so you will fit right in, and Im pretty sure if you keep to yourself they could care less about you.

Few major lottery jackpot winners get chance to be anonymous
Change your name before claiming the prize. This usually takes one month. Then another month to update your drivers license and social security information. No public appearance. Don't sign the ticket until after the name change, keep in a lock box.

Retired Illinois couple share $656M lottery jackpot
I agree! People may know who they are regardless of where they move. So they will get things in order. Sometimes small towns can be protective of their residents. There will be deadbeats asking for money wherever they are. Might as well stay where they are happy. I am sure they can afford some security.

is it wise to call a head to set a date to come foward to the lottery people? does this give the lottery officals enough time to bring out the paper work and go through the security procedures?

why do YOU play the lottery??!?!?!
As NightStalker said, its all about financial security for me. Being able to not have to pinch every penny when buy groceries, had skimping on wants. Winning the lottery would open up so many doors.

why do YOU play the lottery??!?!?!
Financial security.
I'd go into more detail, but since you are a college kid, I don't want to scare you with what the real world has waiting for you, long days, longer days, maybe a couple of marriages and divorces, child support, deadlines, crappy neighbors, liars, cheats, cheating spouses, broken promises, the deaths of loved ones.
Winning the lottery won't solve all those problems. Not even close. But there won't be a daily grind with financial security. I'm not going to argue with my w

$640 MILLION: MEGA MANIA!
I don't think ANY Lottery Commission is open on the weekends, if he is the winner I really hope he has security he really needs to protect that ticket. If it was me I would not be posting on FB or Twitter. I really hope he is someplace secure for his own sake as well as his family....

Re: The slip fall scam, this is kind of funny.
A couple playing on an Illinois riverboat casino lost a few hundred bucks and decided they were going to have the casino give them their money back, and then some. (These people did not have a clue about surveillance). They went to the secoind deck and the guy put a banan peel on the deck, then knocked on a door that let out to the deck. His wife came out and faked a fall. Then they called for security and a EMT.
