Final 2017 MM and/or PB jackpot?
I think you also forgot/didn't realize that we've still got 5 drawings leading up to 1/13 if we count the upcoming 12/30 one? That August Jackpot went 356, 430, 535, 758. Since it rolled tonight we're starting with an extra 28 million compared to last August, and we've got one more drawing to build the jackpot, assuming it keeps rolling. Even if each increase is 10% smaller than those August increases we'd still see 384, 450, 544, then 744. I'd be pretty surprised if it gets north of 700 and

No one win Powerball jackpot last night
300 probably sounds better to a lot of people than 298 or 299, but I don't imagine that 305 or 309 brings in a lot of people who weren't going to bother when it was just 300. With Saturday's drawing being two day before Christmas I wonder if it was a very late sales rush that pushed the jackpot as high as it got. Sales are always bigger as the drawing gets closer, but most of the time sales through noon on Friday will give them a very good idea of where they'll finish by Saturday night, and i

Georgia Team Players Post Pic 4"S Here
I was all over combinations of 1964 (1649 9164 6419 1946 1964 and qp 9146) for evening draw. Obvious 3 digit return from previous eve draw 9646. And noticed jackpots on bottom of tickets PB 103 F5 649 Too bad that hunch didn't work out!

Lotto America multi-state lottery game tickets on sale Sunday
Lotto*America was the first lottery game offered by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). It was replaced in 1992 by Powerball, which, along with Mega Millions, are MUSL's flagship games. In 1987, six states and the District of Columbia banded together, since, on their own, they could not create jackpots into the tens of millions of dollars that had become commonplace in the most populous lottery states. MUSL's first game was called Lotto*America even though only those seven jurisdictio

Bigger MM and PB Jackpots.
Back when we only had the Big Game here in Md.,I used to buy $5 worth on both drawings. Then it was still $1 a line. Buying 5 lines a drawing now would be $40 a week even without the Mega-Plier or Power Play options. Most players are not going to spend that much a week on games with such crazy odds any more, if any ever did. Maybe eventually the lotteries will realize that they are pricing themselves out of the market and decrease the matrix, which will improve the odds enough that maybe p

Canadian man wins $400,000 playing 40 identical Washington Lottery tickets
Obviously the professor isn't a lottery player, because if he was, he'd understand. All Mr Grimme paid for his 40 tickets was 80 bucks. Although I rarely ever spend that much on a single drawing, I realize that there are many players that are willing to spend that much (or more) for one drawing. If you're going to spend a lot of money for one drawing, then IMHO, it's a smart way to play. That technique has been used to diminish the parimutel aspects of New York's Take5. I've seen where th

Multi-state Mega Millions lottery game changing this week
It is disappointing that they didn't do anything to differentiate between Mega Ball and Power Millions. I was hoping for a Big-A-Plier for 2nd and 3rd prizes and a Small-A-Plier for the other prizes. Even if they were for fixed extra amounts it would still make Mega a better game as Power Millions second prize stops at $2 million. Without the hope of a decent second prize I will wait for the jackpots to get huuugggggggeee before I waste a chance at it. I figure I might be

What would be a good jackpot game to buy right now?
I think that the best jackpot game to play now is none of the above. In my opinion state games are the way to go. I live in New Hampshire and play our states JP game Tri State Megabucks (current JP $3.5 million, odds of winning JP just under 1 in 4.5 million). I also live within an hour of Massachusetts, so when I'm there I play their JP game, Megabucks Doubler (current JP $5.9 million, JP winning odds just under 1 in 14 million). Lastly I keep my ears open at work and when somebody travels t

Megaplier Change October 2017
Yep, the Wikipedia article on Mega Millions has that info. What they are doing is putting all the old and loyal players out to pasture by raising the ticket price AND making it harder to win AGAIN! The statement they are making is 'don't waste your money on these games until the jackpots are super high and even then you probably wont even win a small prize.' The two games have passed the reasonable point and are now just hideous. They might as well convert both games into jackp

Take5 NY
By the way, 75% of all Take5 tickets sold are Quick Picks. (A few years ago, I sent the NY Lottery an email and asked them what percentage of all tickets sold were QP's. They emailed me back saying 75% were QP's.) That means 25% are player picks, and three times as many QP's are sold than player picks. It also means that 1,050,714 of the 1,400,952 lines/combo's that were sold yesterday were QP's. We don't know how many times any given QP combo that was sold yesterday was duplicated, but it
