Asset managers accused of fronting for real $254M Powerball winner
The last thing I would want to become public record is that 3 lawyers hired by me won MY large jackpot. The whole world would think these three guys are the winners. To me that gives the lawyers way to much leverage if they decide to steal your millions down the road. Just confusing the whole situation. I wouldn't doubt it if the guy who won got some more advice and was told that you better get the real story out there. Not only that but didn't the Conn/lawyers now bring even more attent

Best Ways of Keeping a Low Profile
Let's say you won a jackpot and remained anonymous. Now how do you stay anonymous? We've seen people on the Lottery Changed My Life and Curse of the Lottery programs flaunt it, so how would you accomplish the opposite of that, but still enjoy the money?

Opinion: Powerball winners will lose big if they go public
Good luck to the winners. I hope they make the right decision regarding their privacy. I feel sorry for those winners that do not remain anonymous and have to deal with the chaos that comes with winning such a large amount of money. I live in NC and all winners must release their name and city. I'm not sure if the photo in mandatory but there sure are a lot of photos of winners on the state's lottery site. I hope that more states make changes to their policies and allow winners to remain

...the winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, said.
The UK and NSW Lotteries are the most reputable lotteries in the world. Both lotteries give winners the option of remaining anonymous, and the vast majority choose to do so. It is not about covering anything up, it is about not putting winners in a difficult position. These lotteries have many checks and balances to ensure all is above board. With to UK media, especially to ruthless tabloids, the lottery could not get away with anything. Most players, winners or not, support the

If you want to claim jackpot anonymously, how do you sign the back of the ticket?
gonnawinwatchme, If a winning ticket (In California) is valued over $600.00, the winner is required to sign the ticket. He or she is also required to submit the winning ticket by mail or in person, along with a claim form, to have it processed. I don't quite understand the Anonymous portion of your question. The person who wins an amount above $600.00 (again, in California) cannot remain anonymous. He or she will have to submit to an interview, and furnish their name, address, social sec

Anonymous donor gives lottery ticket to Kansas hospital
Includes video report Imagine the surprise to open your mail and find a lottery ticket worth thousands of dollars. It happened in one Kansas county this month and now the hospital in Beloit is all the richer for it. Hospitals in small communities such as the one in Mitchell County are a big deal. That's why, when Susan Concannon opened up an anonymous letter a few weeks ago, she was completely overjoyed. $10,000!!! Concannon exclaimed as she showed us the celebratory check from the K

If you have to appear on either Oprah or The Lottery Changed My Life...
So pretty much everyone say they will do whatever it takes to stay anonymous if they win the lottery. But what if you can't stay anonymous? Let say if you win the lottery, you will have to appear on Oprah or The Lottery Changed My Life. Would you still want to win the lottery? What will you do after appearing on TV to make sure you don't get bothered or become a target . I would imagine the best thing to do is to change your name and move somewhere where nobody knows who you are.

If you win the lotto, would you keep a secret from your family member.
It would have to depend on the size of the jackpot, and if the lottery is one you can remain anonymous. The state lotteries in MI are really not all that large, and you can remain anonymous... which I would even in regards to family. As to Mega or PB, I would pretty much have to tell my two adult children, and most likely my parents. Who else to tell would depend on the size of the jackpot. Headline grabbing win like Saturday's PB, I'd have to tell my sisters. We all are pretty close, and I w

For those who wish to claim anonymously...
Does Delaware still have the same concept of anonymous? Do a search here on LP too see some of the anonymous people claiming prizes. Within the last couple of years a woman pharmacist in Illinois won the Mega Millions. She appeared at the press conference in disguise. She hired professional theater people to disguise her and explained that as a pharmacist if word got out she had owwn millions she'd be sued left and right by various people claiming malpractice. Her disguise certainly
