Winning and Moving to Income Tax Free State
If you live in NC and buy a winning Scratch off in SC, SC will take taxes out of your winning, but NC will give you a credit for the Taxes paid in SC. NC will tax your winning by adding it to your income which will increase your taxes. I am not sure when this was changed but it use to be if you did not live in the state you won in, you would file a tax form and receive all of the taxes you paid in that state. Now your state gives you a credit and you do not have to file a tax form in the s

Duke Observation
I am constantly backtesting Duke. I have found that if you use last months date, Nov 6, the number was 652. If you enter 9 digits as 652347890, tonights hit 459 appears. This works alot, try it in your state. I'm using PA as my source. I have found straights appear at times such as 465 on March 21'06,mid. I entered 465789012. April 21'06 585 hit midday. If your watching for a number, Duke can increase your odds.

What is up with MM/PB
Powerball has been struggling since North Carolina joined. Mega has been struggling since it's inception as it's current game. Without a price increase or some other change I'd get used to the idea that large jackpots for either game are a thing of the past.
Eventually Euromillions will hold all 10 of the top 10 record jackpot amounts unless they add Germany or some other large country without changing the odds.

power ball pool
Most regular lottery players avoid pools. They don't increase your chances of winning all that much, and if you do get lucky and win you need to share your prize to the point that you often win less than a mil anyway. The risk/reward equation is way out of wack.
They can be good for offices to play, but not for serious play, just as a social thing.

Florida Multi-State
Just a guess on my part, but I voted no. Although he is our new Governor-elect, Charlie Crist isn't that new since he's been the Attorney General and a strong Bush supporter. Right now he has a lot more important issues to deal with and has been appointing his staff which mainly consists of political advisors who were already serving under the current administration. Only time will tell, but I think the serious crime problems, especially child predators, and the increase in insurance rates (1

Betslips Plays for 11/9
CARBOB, thanks for that update. It does have to be boiling over. We have a new upper limit established. Here's where the Progression King can give us the Rules of the Road. This is suddenly new territory and uncharted waters. Life jackets and GPS systems are a must.
Increase bet increments by one unit tomorrow on GA EVE. ( Pending the sage advice of cps10).

a poll about annuities and lump sum
Cash lump sum is better; you can take your own annuity or invest it. same as social security. If you take at 62, say get $1500.00 month vs. 65, that's 52,000 in hand more than waiing until 65 with an increase. Life is not written in stone; every day get more precious. Of course if you have a geat job, then not good. And who knows how long you will make around the bend. Who says you wil be around in so many years, and if it is not transferrable to a bene, tough. Show me the money.

'Lottery Secrets" from the Cryptic Vault...
Thanks CCHS13.
Yes, the thread is evolving nicely. As a matter of fact someone just PMed me and revealed that a particular post on the thread just got the person thinking, and now is able to radically increase the hit ratio. Its possible that the info in the post was even used differently than how the original poster intended. That's the great thing! I was glad to hear this, and hope that people will continue to glean good info from some of these great posts, and then spin it into ten thousa

Kansas Powerball lottery winner claims jackpot anonymously
Just hardly half-kididng about being tough to live on 1 million a year for 29 years. Most people quickly get used to their income. Having $1 million a year is great for the year or three, but then you start noticing that the docking fees on your yacht keep going up. The cost of a new Rolls-Royce has continued to rise. Your service staff keeps wanting raises. Those monthly trips to Europe keep rising with higher first class costs and luxury suite costs. Without an inflationary increase in y

They actually work very hard to get bidders with the highest rates... Todd
I never said they didn't. I don't think there is some sort of conspiracy. I was only saying that usually the higher the risk, the higher the gain (and also the higher the possibility of loss) Increase in value is often related to how safe the investment is, although not always. Anyway, I don't care - just give me $200 million anyway you want to and I'll take it.
