PB winner....MM and PB in a race
It wasn't the Match 5 that did them in. It only paid out $200k more than the previous drawing.
There was a more than $3 million increase for the lower tiers over the previous drawing.

probability types
Thoth,
Are you suggesting that the significant of a particular event repeating is more important than the repeatable of particular numbers? For example (the event)- 26% of PowerBall drawings have no numbers from the previous three drawings which means by eliminating the 12-15 numbers in the previous three drawings a player could increase his odds of winning the jackpot or second prize 400-500% every time that event happened, but would having the better odds 26% of the time and no chance 74%

Lottery in group, increase odds
Euromillions - Official lottery
Play Euromillions in group.
Look here: http://www.groupmillions.com/1977
By using the Group36-system there are 36 combinations in each group giving a chance of the 5 numbers + 2 stars. This means that each group has 3,600 times more chance of winning the Jackpot of EUR 15,000,000 to EUR 75,000,000 !
The chances to have 5 numbers + 2 stars are 1 in 2,127,660. When playing individually, these are only about 1 in 76,275,360

getting feedback about computerized drawings
This from the Cal State Lottery web page:
The California Lottery began conducting automated draws for Fantasy 5 and DAILY 3 on July 1, 1998, and for Daily DerbyTM on August 10, 1998. The decision to switch to conducting automated draws was made because of the increase of daily games offered to players and the need for a faster, more efficient, maintenance-free method of drawing winning numbers.

Lottery, casino shutdown cost N.J. millions
hmmm...ironic that the state actually LOST money from gaming! Now I can somewhat say that NJ and I have something in common!
Glad to have them back on board for the Megamillions! We need that jackpot to increase!

Expert Lotto
OK, Expert Lotto's Winning Numbers History strategy can, does, and will work, it is possible if you meet the right conditions. The strategy is setup based on 11 different views of past occurrence. Each one of the 11 views has a sum value based on where each number drawn came from in conjunction with where it was last drawn, this forms the sums and the movement differences. The object is to make an educated guess how much each of the 11 sums will increase or decrease in value in the next drawing.

Why Western States Win So Often
I did not explain well enough. The numbers on the ticket did not match the winning numbers. I have verfified this with the website. The jackpot was $172,000,000. The jackpot rolled over to $250,000 before there was a winner.
So - my guy does not appear to be a winner, but he checks his tickets by running the UPC code at a local store. It is the UPC code that says he is a winner. The clerk scans the ticket and it pops up as a winner, but beyond validation. My guy had no reason to think he was

States I Predict P4 7/5 Evening
I always bet Washington, D.C. pick 4. This evening I have $1 box/$1 straight bet on my WashDC predictions (P4). I always bet Michigan Pick 3 Mid Eve. I hit again today midday. When I am hitting a particular state I keep playing it until it turns cold. Those of us that are or have been professional gamblers call that pressing our bets . Increase your bets as you win ... NOT as you lose!

MM increases by only 2 million
The jackpot is projected based on past history , current states projectional revenue, and those who buy advance tickets for games. They cant really over project. Im sure it will increase by Tuesdays draw since Im going to buy 3$ worth. That should add a whoppin $1.23 to the jackpot ! :)
(Im behind the times , I didnt realize NJ is having lottery problems. That will make a difference!)
