Why are American lotteries rigged?
The only sane way to think is that most lotteries offer a really low chance of win than other, some lower than others. So I always play using a cost/prob ratio with current jackpots. Aus lotteries is always good to play. I have an easy way to calculate: Ratio = (prob/cash)*cost of ticket per line MM (258/265)*$2 = 1,94 the lower the ratio the better to play, not scientifc at all just my own way to keep track of what to play and when. I play many online lotteries and aus lotteries always

True. If there was a jackpot every 23-25k tickets and the pattern continued to follow, jackpot #21 would have been hit around 613k - 615k. I wont be able to check AK Kwik until Friday most likely. Jackpot #22 should be in the 640k-650k range. Jackpots 23-24 should be in 650k- 680k range (if the print goes that high). I'll hold off on with the tickets from book number 620200. Maybe on Friday I might stop by AK Kwik on Jacksonville to see what book numbers they have. As f

Yep, it is worth the drive from Jacksonville to Gainesville (1 hr 1/2 each way) to visit AK Kwik. Like you've said before, you gotta watch out for the state troopers in Lawtey, Starke, and all those small towns along the way haha. This isn't even all the games they have, there's a couple more display bins to the right. They literally have HUNDREDS of books of tickets. They had 20 books of $200 MS, 20 books of $10 Holdiay Gifts, over 10 books of 50X The Cash, etc. They have six games of $20 Gold

I agree, Cape Coral does seem to be a hot area for what may seem from a glance has a disproportionate number of wins . Then again, people say this about south FL in general. South FL has the largest population density in the state, however. I'm not sure what the population is like in Cape Coral, or how ticket sales vary from that particular area. I know using probability and statistics, the chances of a given area receiving a jackpot should increase with the number of sales. That wouldn't necess

Unclaimed Jackpot Prizes
Zebekyia, interesting read. You live in NY, right? We have had similar shady lottery practices happen in FL. For example, one of our scratchoff game called 100X had 5 $1million prizes remaining, and 1 $5 million prize left unclaimed. The game is ending soon, but is unavailable across the entire state. As far as shady practices, one of our holiday games called $2,000,000 Holiday Gifts is still around in short supply. I have went to a food store and heard from the retailer that the lottery

(California Lottery) Scratcher additional printings?
This is in California, I noticed that on some of the more popular scratcher games, when the number of top prizes starts to get low, additional tickets get printed to increase the number of top prizes again. When I buy a ticket of that game, obviously I'd rather buy one from this second printing since it will have more jackpots/top prizes left. So my questions are: 1) How long after the top prizes count on the website is updated do the new tickets hit the market? Are they immediately mix

Ah, cool. Hopefully those have decent odds. I find it really interesting how some of the newer tickets, particularly $5 games, have better odds than some of the older tickets. Were the 2012-2014 years just really bad for lotto scratch off games? King's Ransom for example has odds of 1 in 1.8m million for a $250k prize. (Possibly much better now with only 2-3% of tickets remaining) Winning Streak, and many of the other new $5 have odds around 1.26- 1.4 million for that type of pr

Hey guys... I thought you might be interested to know that I just found a store that had 39 tickets left of the Holiday Gifts. I bought them all, and although no big winners, I did notice something interesting... The serial number.... 1292-0049688-5 This appears to be a very low series number book. I didnt stick around to ask if they had any more of them, but now im wondering if I should take a ride back to the store and see.... What are the odds of 2 jackpots being in the same county

That's awesome that RGSE90 was able to advocate for change in the NY Lottery, and that he succeeded. It is truly inspiring. Something needs to be done here in FL. Destroying tickets affects the integrity of a game, especially if the lottery doesn't double check to ensure that destroying tickets isn't removing top jackpot tickets. It can certainly skew the results. If the lottery were destroying non jackpot tickets, I'm sure people would be more okay and accepting of that (or if they had

South Carolina Cash5
I live in SC. Its very religious here too. I get comments a lot when i play about how i shouldnt buy tickets or play, ect. I also get lectures, esp from older ladies about how its wrong. And if its not a lecture its a look. i just ignore them. Oh sweetheart, you are throwing away your money. Oh dear, dont play that. Such a young lady shouldnt play the lottery... And on and on Sometime even the clerks have comments lol There are players here, but the lottery isnt that popular overall
