Time for Mega Millions to change
The other option might be to make it $2 a game and keep the same matrix or merge with Powerball. Your suggestions were more valid when PB and MM were not played in the same states. Now it's just player game preference where players can choose to play either game, both, neither, or play the game with the highest jackpot. PB jackpots grow because 94% of the ticket win nothing and players must beat odds up to 36,525 to 1 just to win $100. Along with PB and MM, some state lotteries offer mul

New York Lotto Rollover (and Bonus Number) Questions?
The NY lottery works very hard to not reveal useful information. It's probably been 20 years since I last found information about the cash value of the advertised annuity. For that $42.5 million annuity jackpot the official press release doesn't even say how much he got as a lump sum prize. Based on that I'd figure that the only way you'll get any useful and accurate data is by filing a FOIA request. Of course you could always get a copy of the official rules, which would include soe basic info,

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
Hey Skeptic, haven't seen you on in a while. How are you? Yeah, that's what I noticed. The odds are almost exactly the same as FL Cash, except slightly worse $1000 odds I think. Same types of prizes, and same number. With 12 $1 million dollar prizes left on FL Cash, I'm thinking of sticking to FL Cash and maybe buying a few of the new tickets.I know there's alot of new prizes on the $10m Jackpot, but I'm thinking there's also alot more duds to go through unless the Lotto wants

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
And if one were to tip, what would be a reasonable one? $20? $100? I think it would be very nice to spread the excitement for the employee. I tried playing the Lucky $200k a Year For Life ticket after winning $100 on a FL Cash ticket. I bought 5 of them, 4 duds and 1 $20 winner. No wonder they're trying so hard to sell the remainder of those duds. I know there's 4 $50k/yr and 2 $200k/yr jackpots remaining, but it wouldn't surprise me if those were out of circulation or in a dum

Sorry to hear man. I've went out gambling today, took out $500. Won $1000, but then got greedy and spent most of my winnings on Florida Cash duds from a couple different convenience stores. I think I lost about $500 from one store buying half the roll with there literally being nothing but duds. Losing 4 in a row, and then winning $25 on the 5th ticket is an absolute insult. I know people say don't chase winners , and I've had chasing benefit me and wreck my wallet stimultaneously. Earli

How soon till the next $ Billion $ Jackpot?
might not be able to spend the same amount this time if it would happen to get to 500 mill and rollover. That could be one very interesting aspect of a consecutive jackpot of 500+. So far this run has been much faster than anyone should have expected, but I'm guessing that a lot of that is a carryover that won't continue. We're 3 drawings ahead of where we were last time (176 @ #9 vs 180 @ #12), but I'd guess that the next few increases (assuming no winner) will be about the same as the inc

How soon till the next $ Billion $ Jackpot?
You're fixating on the percentage increase and completely missing the point. A 15.44% increase from a jackpot of 136 isn't the same as a 15.44% increase from a jackpot of 40 or 500. You seem to think that the 15.44% increase from 136 to 157 is smaller than the 28% increase from 75 to 96, but they're both the exact same $21 million. We know that, in general, sales are less than they were in the past, so the typical increase for any given jackpot tends to be less now than it was a year or two a

How soon till the next $ Billion $ Jackpot?
Previous draw dates have resulted in the jackpot being increased by between approximately 19.1% and 28.2% For an advertised jackpot of $136 million a 28.2% increase would be 38 million, to 174. When has it ever increased by 38 million from something in the 130 to 175 range? Sales increase only slightly from the starting jackpot until somewhere around 200 or so. That means that the increase as a dollar amount is in a fairly narrow range until the jackpot reaches about 200. The minimum inc

First lawsuit in state lottery-fixing scandal seeks millions
It's about a jackpot that was never won. The lottery said the jackpot was won and even lowered the prize for the next drawing. The California Lottery was waiting to pay out a $63 million jackpot before the ticket expired last Thursday. The Iowa Hot Lotto winning ticket became invalid even before the lottery knew the drawing circumstances. Dawson suing tying to collect a jackpot prize that was never paid out. What you said before was that this case could create a precedent for any unclai
