Mega Millions lottery jackpot raised to $262 million
I guess since these bad things are not happening to you, neither will the windfall. That is basically what they are saying. Yet when there is a winner, the media eats it up, and milks it for all it is worth. So their analogies are kind of contradicting, and don't make any sense. But maybe they are playing off the fact that people secretly want to beat the odds, and be known to have done so. Regardless of what they say publicly. I wonder if their chances increase that all those bad things will h

Sign the petition - eliminate computerized drawings!
We can land a man on the moon. We can make a missile hit a target the size of a dime from a thousand miles away. And yes, Virginia, we can rig a lottery through computerized drawings. Yes, there ARE software programs and computers powerful enough in the year 2005! that can scan all the combinations players selected in the half hour BEFORE the drawing to make sure the WINNING combination selected does NOT match any of what the PLAYERS selected. How can there not be in this day and age?I'm person

Do you think it matters?
Do you think it matters what day your purchase your tickets for a lotto. For example; would purchasing your tickets on a Friday, the same night of the drawing increase your chances of winning? Of course they don't theoretically but I know I have tried to purchase as close the cut-ff time as possible to see if it affects my wins. It never has for me, anyone else? If you purchase you MM today, a couple of days before the next draw, does it matter? Share your thoughts...

IMO I think is could be rigged...Anyway... The reason it is so big imo is that when they increased the tickets to 2.00 each, there sales went down, I mean way down. Now they still sold the same dollar amout but not the same amount of tickets...So this is just another way for them to increase there sales and make some easy money for the Lotto Corp!Jackpot's were suppose to be:30 Mil then 32 Mil then 35 Mil.. But the 30 Million did not go so now its 40 Million.. Will they still have the 35 Millio

Keno (Canada)
In Toronto, Canada we have a daily drawing of Keno (1-70 numbers) 20 numbers are drawn daily. There are different prize amounts (depending on the amount of numbers drawn.) 2 numbers correct, pays $7 3 numbers correct, pays $25 4 numbers correct, pays $100 ( etc.) We all know that there is no logic in random numbers, (The Lottery Authorities

£2bn Lotto scandal
They should just give it away to any one who wants it. Then, when they run out of money, figure out if they gave it to the right people. Americans do that all the time. We call it Disaster Relief money. We even made special credit cards so we can increase the giveaway ratio. Cry, get money. Be a minority, get money. Pregnant, get money. Not pregnant, get pregnant, then get money. Drop out of school, fail test, get money to take test again. Not getting enough money, start riot, get money to stop

Remaining anonymous if you win jackpot?
Good luck remaining anonymous if you hit the largest jackpot in history. They don't care about risking the individual, they care about media exposure. That all comes with the territory that is a Powerball winner. You have no one to blame but yourself for playing. I am sure that is what they assume. In fact I even asked the PA lottery if you could have a lawyer claim it for you via a trust fund, and as I said in another thread, they said only YOU can claim it, no other individual may claim it

Is a 400 million jackpot possible?
When the sheep line up to give you money every day, you can make up any rule you want. The lottery is not a democracy, it is a business. Their goal is make every penny they can out of every dollar spent by the better. If they could lower the ratio, and increase the bottom line, they would - and, some day, they probably will. If they don't make the profit they want, they'll change the rulls again, and again, and again. Think of them as car dealers, with a better gimmic.
