Powerball Spending Amounts - Jan 9 2015 Drawing
Well good luck on your Tuesday drawing then. That's a good chunk of change to take home, especially with no CV and no taxes. This is going to sound weird, but a big part of me isn't that excited. I feel like I'm in a holding pattern, kinda just waiting to see what happens because it's uncharted territory on every front imaginable. The other (smaller) part of me is just hoping to have the winning numbers come Wednesday since a billion dollar jackpot is what I've been waiting for since MM firs

A Couple of Observations about Huge PowerBall Drawings
Now that Powerball frenzy will continue at an even faster pace with the new $1.3B estimated jackpot (sure to surpass $1.5B by Wednesday's drawing), here are a couple of observations: * The huge jackpots are a big reason why computer generated random drawings are a bad idea - It's almost unbelievable that no one won the last $900M+ drawing. With this in mind, had Powerball used computer generated random number draws, there would be a large number of people questioning whether or not it was

Yep...$5 per line + $2.50 extra with Powerplay. And they charge $15.50 in fees overheads. Too expensive with powerplay. If it jackpots again,I'll just do the normal entry. The reason why the overheads are pricey is because of the logistics involved. And they personally provide airfare and a legal rep if you win to collect the actual ticket. It sounds suspect, but it is above board and legit.

$300 MILLION: Massive Powerball jackpot fuels New Year's dreams
I disagree. Say the pay period on your job ended on Dec. 30 and they kept you a few days or a week (or more) behind before issuing your paycheck as do many companies - the salary earned was in 2015 and would be included in your return due by April 18th*. Now, while I'm fairly certain I'm right, I'm not positive... which is why you should consult a qualified and reputable financial expert before claiming. That said, I'd be willing to bet a JP would be just like any other income**, counted when yo

Georgia Lottery Scratch Offs
Nice hit on the $1,000 goherd14. I know you've won your share of $1,000 prizes, I still remember how I felt when I won my first $1,000 earlier this year. It seems like ages ago. I actually haven't played any scratch offs (in or out of state) since my last venture to Georgia. Quitting cold turkey is a very hard thing but after awhile the urge was purged from my system. I plan to play Georgia lottery next year when my tax return is deposited. The odds on South Carolina tickets seem to be going dow

it sounds different because of perception. What is perceived can be easily deceived. Both Jackpots have been won since I last posted, and the anamoly between the two current JP is quite staggering. 90 Million VS 25 Million. The two starting JP are very different. 40 vs 15. But a QP player must remember to play in Illinois because the RNG is more in tune to the tipton JP winning pattern.

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
A couple of weeks ago I sent an email to the Lottery Office of Inspector General asking them to look into what appeared to be preferential treatment (bias) toward this retailer. The Director of Sales for the Lottery provided a concise, polite response and explained well why Food and Lotto was still able to obtain 100X tickets. I felt the matter was closed, thanked the man for his response, and updated the OIG with an email of thanks while taking responsibility for the confusion myself. Curiou

Wild Card
You're right, topnail. Went to a dang Utahn. I believe the last 2 wildcard jackpots that sold in Idaho went to Utah winners. BOISE, Idaho For Jim Fowler, making the drive to Idaho once every five weeks is as much about getting chicken wings at the Chat Chew in Malad as it is about playing the Idaho Lottery. That was until his traditional trip landed him the Wild Card jackpot from last Saturday night s draw, winning him $349,561. I brag about their chicken wings. We get in the truck a
