South Carolina.
SC has announced that they are considering a multi-state regional lotto game. Could they be joining Lotto South? Wouldn't surprise me considering they have really good Powerball sales, but only 3 jackpot winners.

Most Underratted Lottery Game
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on December 9, 2004I would vote for Hot Lotto for multi-state games, and Ca$h WinFall (Massachusetts) for in-state games.I think Hot Lotto is underrated, but merely by the fact that so few states have joined. As for Cash WinFall, again it's $2 price is it's accilles heel. But with overall odds at 1 in 6, it's still a good game. But I agree it's underrated considering it's slow sales. Maybe if it was just a dollar, more people would play.

Was 2004 a good or bad lottery year?
I spent a lot on the Oregon Megabucks but won nothing.Spent only $20 on Megamillions when it hit 290 and nothing on powerball this year. Still waiting for those two multi-state games to get their act together and have a real jackpot.I'll spend some money on the Quito (pick 5) game here but so far this year is just loosing.I haven't won anything since 1995.

Ore. Megabucks
why its the only game worth playing now. if anything they should retire the current multi-state lotteries and replace them with something that can generate a large jackpot for once. anyway the oregon lottery like most with video games makes most of its money with video poker and keno (every few minutes a new drawing).

FL Lotto
exactly. it's like they have a multi-state game in play from the jackpots, but they do not. they're hurting worse than my foot (read my blog).

PowerBall Drawing for 10/09/04
Back to Mega Millions for me. This is probably the longest stretch of time I've played one multi-state game - I've been playing Powerball on this run since its jackpot was only $14 million, after a $52 million Mega Millions jackpot was won.

Virginia Lottery Celebrates 16th Anniversary
When the Virginia Lottery sold its first ticket on September 20, 1988, there was excitement and anticipation, but also uncertainty. There was no guarantee that a lottery in Virginia was going to succeed and benefit the Commonwealth. But succeeded it has. In the sixteen years since the first ticket was sold, the Virginia Lottery has sold $14.3 billion in tickets and turned over more than $4.9 billion to the Commonwealth.Since 1999, Virginia Lottery revenues have gone directly to public education

Are Powerball predictions random?
I think you are right about the need for a separate forum or section for Powerball and maybe the other large jackpot lotterys. I do have some thoughts about the Powerball game that may pique your interest in the randomness of Powerball numbers frequencies.I have a theory about the machines used for Powerball. It is possible that they are using several machines and rotating them instead of using the same machines over and over. I base this on the fact that we have not seen the same people winning

CA
exactly. i hate the fact that CA's super lotto plus is pretty much the only in-state lotto game that can compete with the multi-state games.

CA's Multi-State Game.
i doubt it. if CA wanted a multi-state game, it would go for one with more states. it could mean CA will be joining mega millions though.
