110 $100,00 WINNERS !!??
Quote: Originally posted by tg636 on March 31, 2005It makes me wonder if the quick pick isn't so random after all. Could it be programmed to pick certain numbers more frequently, thereby leaving more numbers unplayed to increase the chances of a jackpot rolling over? Their little scheme didn't work this time. They need to have computer experts take a look at their random number generator. Yes! That's the point so many of us have been making about computerized drawings - computers do NOT prod

N.C. Lottery Foes Gather Strength
A group of high-profile lottery opponents vowed Wednesday to fight efforts to bring scratch-off tickets and numbers games to North Carolina. As opponents gathered in the Legislative Building in Raleigh to voice opposition, members of a special House committee on the lottery filed the bill that they will use to craft a state lottery. The work on that bill, which does not yet include details of how a lottery would be set up, is set to be finished by April 11.The opponents said they were working one

Number Matrix system for jackpot games ?
Some time back, Sedertree posted a positional matrix system for jackpot style games. Number positions in the matrix were determined by where they appeared in previous winning combinations. The idea was if previous winners would fit the matrix then future winners would also. A player could increase his chances to win by picking only combinations that fitted that matrix. It had a flaws in that some numbers were in positions they couldn't hold. He said it needed a little work and he planned to

Powerball Matrix Change?
lotteries are actually making an attempt to listen to players (or so they say). it looks like PA did well with match 6 (it's a fun game, even though i have yet to win at it.), but the players did not like lucky for life lotto (i think they expected it to be more like WA's or OR's, which would probably generate more sales.). it seems as if the players are asking the lotteries to consider matrix changes to powerball and mega millions. both the lotteries and the players want bigger jackpots, and th

How to play Kicker ?
Interesting. State Lotteries create games within their States to take the pressure off other games such as Pick6 drawings within their States. Or they may increase the numbers so they can absorb the playing traffic and even offset the drawing differential in an effort to maintain control of the game. Other States use time signatures such as, altering their playing deadlines to control the flow of ticket sales to their machines. Ohio may have lost revenue but, USAMega didn't.@ Cash. Pa residents

Powerball Matrix Change?
Nice article.... informative.Maybe the ticket for more sales is to increase the jackpot to 300 million, constant, but decrease the chances of anybody winning it to zero. They lost 400 million in sales this year, the guy said. Whereas, they're bound to have lost a little something in payouts, too. They could win both ways by increasing the jackpots, but making sure nobody wins one. In fact, they could afford to make the jackpots even larger.... maybe half a billion or so that way.Jack

CA Lottery- My Way.
Quote: Originally posted by DoctorEw220 on March 19, 2005 yes. all drawings would be televised with ball machines. each annuity payment would still increase each year. it's their way of getting people to take the annuity.jimmy: since you know more about ball machines than i do, you can pick which ones.Sounds like my kind of request. Halogens are used for Super Lotto Plus, so we'll use that for Fantasy 5 too. And to continue the continuity, we'll use the Revolution for Daily 3 and Daily 4.

Powerball won AGAIN!!
I don't mind the low jackpots. I want to remind you all that this is an odds game. The recent winning might explain if the jackpot does not get won for a long time. It just might be setting itself up for a record jackpot ever in powerball. I say prep your numbers. It might be a one time thing.I hope I win before the increase the matrix. I am sure all these 18 million winners are as happy as a 100 million winners.

Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
Quote: Originally posted by Rick G on March 16, 2005What are you going to do with all that money if you do win a half-billion $ jackpot? With the rules that PowerBall have when the jackpot exceeds the previous record, I doubt it will ever have a half billion dollars jackpot. At that point the second prize value increase. Multi-States lotteries aren't trying to attract those core players who will buy a lottery ticket to win $500-$4M, but those players who never think about any lottery until they

Streak of jackpot winners is bad luck for Powerball lottery sales
Well, lucky for the winners obviously, but I also meant just random chance. If states are going to have a game that isn't rigged, streaks of both winning and not winning go with the territory. I don't think JQP is luckier than the states - even if there was a winner every time, there would be millions of losers out there, but the states make money on even the lowest of jackpots.Quote: Originally posted by RJOh on March 16, 2005Quote: Originally posted by tg636 on March 16, 2005If that's the cas
