Ohio Classic Lotto goes more than 2 years without winner
What's happened to the Ohio Lotto--current version this 'Classic Lotto'-- is criminal.
Previous versions of this game started at $4 mil, and increased $4 mil with each draw. There were winners at least every 2-3 weeks, with payouts ranging from the base $4 mil to $30 mil or more.
Real, life-changing money. No, not the eye-popping amounts MM and PB flaunt. Not the buy-a-fleet-of-luxury cars money or five-vacation-homes-in-paradise-money, but enough for most people of any age to retire and

RJOh,
He might change his mind if you won a jackpot so you know what have to do to advance this discussion.
No, I would not change my mind. Winning a jackpot proves absolutely nothing about whether it's possible to win more with a system vs random play. Jackpots have been won by people purchasing their very first Quick Pick ticket on their 18th birthday.

Why does the Mega Millions Jackpot not start at $40 mil?
My thoughts is that they should merge the two and create a single national lottery. I don't know the politics behind it all, but my understanding is they are both administered by the MUSL.
- $2 per line, start at $50 million, bonus balls at ~15-18, white balls at ~70-75, and 3 draws per week (Tues, Thurs, Sat)
I think the rollovers will be larger and quicker to reach frenzy levels; easier to get your $2 back than PB presently; and potentially more revenues with increased sales generated by

$309 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot rolls into top 25
I remember in 2012 I visited a friend in Michigan, right around the jackpot frenzy. It was under $400 million and people were going nuts. Lines were long, it made the news almost as much as the Olympics did, and everyone was talking about it.
Fast forward less than 2 years later the jackpot is at $309 million and I haven't seen or heard it in the news even once. No one I know has even brought it up. I know there are a lot of reasons for that, but I think the most important factor is that we

Post your scratch ticket results
Last night, I chased the $5 NJ crossword from no 18 to 59, total investment $205. Got my money back plus $25. The winners were at the tail end. I only had $100 with me and the store ATM was down. Good thing I am friends with the store clerks and they let me play on credit until I hit the winners. I dreaded the thought that I would have to come back and pay for losers.
BTW, I found scratcher heaven in a tobacco store in Blackwood, NJ. OMG, the store had tables and chairs for patrons, a large b

Do people like their state lottery draw games?
I think the games in Texas have prizes that are a little too low for the odds. For example Ohio has a 5/39 game that starts at $100,000 and rolls. Our Texas 2 Step is a 4/35 + 1/35 that starts at $200,000 with odds at 1 in 1,832,600. Odds 3 times higher for a starting jackpot $100k more?
Our Cash 5 game is a 5/37 game that doesn't roll when no one hits. The jackpot is a whopping $17,000. Sometimes it might get to $20,000. It depends on ticket sales. It really sucks.
The new games they brou

Oregon Lottery winner won't retire
It's funny how the public in general believe winning a lottery is sufficient to retire. A major source of this perception has to do with the media and this story is a prime example. The initial headline doesn't disclose anything about how much the winner won...just that he or she won and won't retire.
I find it as bad as referring to Richard Lustig as winning seven lottery jackpots or that anyone who wins a one million dollar annuity or prize is an instant millionaire . They conveniently leave

Lottery hopefuls line up for chance to win $400M Powerball jackpot
Includes audio report
Tonight's Powerball drawing carries an estimated $400 million jackpot, one of the largest in U.S. lottery history.
It's rolled over 15 times since December and will be the fourth-biggest Powerball jackpot and sixth-highest lottery prize of all time.
At A A Market in Hell's Kitchen, cashier Ali Muhammed is preparing for customers to line up.
Everybody comes, said Muhammed. They play extra. Some people play for $100, $200.

Why does Richard Lustig never say how much he had spent to get his wins?
If he says that he uses a method, then he probably does.
For the winnings, yes, you need some luck for the jackpots. Did he win by pure luck? I am not so sure. Playing more does indeed increase your probability to win a pot.
If you can deduce tickets from your taxes, you should do this, especially when you play alot.
Maybe I should eat some gauffre de Bruxelles with strawberries and whipped cream, or do you mean that the gauffre Li geoise with sugar is better? We also have those thin va

Why Do You Think Lottery Winners Always Take The Cash Option?
I was looking at the list of Powerball winners from the pass decade http://www.powerball.com/powerball/pb_stories.asp. only 3 winners took the annunity and 2 lottery pools are listed as mixed. Even winners of massive jackpots that would have paid them $10+ million a year with the annunity took the cash. For instance the Powerball jackpot is $284 million. If I win that much money it would be very hard to leave $91 million on the table. I could live the rest of my life and support my family with t
