Retired N.J. police chief scammed 95-year-old victim out of $29K
Well, that's not true -- something was indeed done to him. He was charged and plead no-contest, then sentenced. That was the point of the article. The fact that he was a cop as you say actually worked against him, it did not help him in any way.

One Massachusetts lottery ticket wins $758.7 million Powerball jackpot
The article has been updated with the correct seller of the jackpot-winning ticket. The Mass. Lottery incorrectly identified the store last night, and issued a correction this morning.

$650 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot skyrockets
What a bunch of crap with too many numbers in the powerball.....I'll bet 1 person wins the 650 this time as they have other times......fewer numbers more people would win but what is the sense in that???????? Governments wouldn't be able to steal much money from the pots like the school board members do and that's why the school don't get the money and if more people won, the public would have MONEY and governments agendas doesn't include US to have any money.....saw an article too many are winn

Hot Lotto replacement "Lotto America" rolls out in November
haymaker, the article I saw on the new game didn't say if it was ball or RNG drawings. I certainly hope they'll be using balls for this game.

NJ Lottery scrapped instant scratch-off game after only 3 days
Sounds to me like a glitch in the program used to create the tickets more so than bad instructions. Scratch offs are always designed to prevent scenarios like the one described in the article- I have scratched enough of them to see the built-in roadblocks.

CT Lottery app mistakenly identified winning tickets as losers
That's a needlessly harsh statement. They DID check the numbers themselves. They checked them using the computer app developed and distributed by the state. Right on their own smartphones. They are neither dumb nor stupid. Did you bother to read the article? Or did you just miss the part about using their smartphone app to check their own tickets?

Solar calendar yr question Does anyone know?
I did a quick search and found an article that explained solar numbers as related to a persons month + day of birth then reduce that to a single digit 1 thru 9. There is also a Wikipedia page relating to solar calendars but its over my head. hope this gives you a place to start.

Just the Jackpot
Gosh dammit, the MM change is less than 3 months away and yet no one seems to have a detailed article on the MM changes, especially JTJ. Is it really too difficult for the state lotteries to publish a one sentence press release saying whether they'll join JTJ or not?

Massachusetts has more repeat lottery winners than any other state
In contrast to other members that think cashing six tickets valued at more than $1000 each over a twelve-month period is unfair, I've been playing lottery games since I was old enough to buy a ticket and I have news for you guys- anyone cashing this many tickets is not legit. Not that I haven't used signers at the dog track before. Twice, to be exact. These people that sign for voluminous amounts of lottery tickets are opportunists. I mean, how easy is it to grab a couple hundred dollars worth o
