There were some cryptic remarks at the July Texas Lottery Commission meeting indicating that Texas and California are having discussions about something.Is a multi-state game involving Texas and California possible??

Mega Millions group
Should their be multi-state scratch games among the Mega Millions states? I would be concerned that the Mass and NY tickets (and possibly TX) would be annuity-only, while the same game in the other eight states would have a cash option.

George,I am open to the possibility of changing the Iowa and Illinois games to one multi-state game, if there is a lot of support for it.I'll post a poll in the Pick 3 forum to see if there is support.If it is overwhelming support to change it I will. If it's a close call I'll just leave it as-is.Thanks!

In order for California to participate in any multi-state game the Legislature would have to change the state law requiring all lottery payouts to be pari-mutuel. Your guess is as good as mine.gljohn

Lotto South
Please give me all the information that you have on Lotto South. I know it's a multi State Lotto with a matrix of 1 - 49. What State started it? How many States are on Lotto South and what are they? Does anyone else think it's funny that the Lotto South Jackpots never get any bigger than they do with so many States on this one lotto game?

It was nice to see the prediction page for 06/04 had my $7 win recorded within minutes of the drawing even though the completed calculations will not be done until tomorrow. Also when I used the multi-state game filter, I saw there were some categories on certain days that actually made money. I'm going to have to take a closer look at Todd's newest features in the prediction section, there may be some predictors worth watching.RJOh

it's a multi-million dollar annuitized jackpot game. if the jackpot reaches $5 million, and nobody hits it, the jackpot rolls down. it's michigan's way of saying that they can't compete with multi-state games.

it's not just TN. it's all of the states, even the USVI (even though it isn't a state). one state cannot carry a multi-state game.
