Do you believe in lucky stores or lucky places in general?
Yeah, no such thing as lucky stores.
We've got a store down here in the southland, Bluebird Liquor in Hawthorne, that news reporters always flock to and do stories when Jackpots get high. People come from miles around and stand in line for hours. SILLY! I walk to my corner store and there's no line, and buy my PB tickets, which are just as lucky or unlucky as any bought at any so called lucky store.
And those stores with a lot of scratch ticket winners plastered around the counter: they ha

Is New Jersey one of the luckiest States for either Jackpot winners or what?
It really does not matter folks. Awhile back, it was Ohio that was winning AA lot of the big Mega Millions jackpots. Indiana had a good run at Powerball. New York and California also had good trending luck. Same with Pennsylvania (I remember seeing a few Bentleys as I drove through PA a few years ago and thought Must be a lucky jackpot winner! ).
I would say it is more likely someone living in a densely populated state will win just because more lottery tickets are purchased in a state like

Has there ever been 2nd prize winners who went on to win it all?
I am speaking of either the PB/ MM jackpots.
If no: This could mean there is still hope for us yet. Consider this, if no 2nd prize winner has gone on to win the entire enchilada, this could mean winning 2nd prize is a stumbling block to Everest.
My logic may be flawed, but it could bring some comfort to the masses, avoid 2nd prize at all cost.
Thoughts anyone?
Iol.

Addicted to lottery?
Hi Guys,
Just been browsing around this forum and I've picked up on things like trying to cut down on my playing volume which I find surprising. Can people become addicted to lottery? I've heard of casino's, online and bookies but never lottery.
Perhaps in the US it's possible but here in the UK it's very rare, certainly from my network of friends, how about you guys? do you know anyone addicted to lottery? is it possible? As I said it may be possible in the US as their lotteries

Mega Millions lottery game's redesign aims at bigger jackpots, better overall odds
Good point, RJOh. Sounds like they're targeting the average player with this, too. They really think players are chumps:
Megaplier to be expanded
The Mega Millions multi-state lottery game is being redesigned to offer bigger starting jackpots and better overall odds beginning Oct. 22.
The overall odds of winning the game's jackpot will change to 1-in-258,890,850 from the current 1-in-175,711,536. This change is expected to lead to larger jackpot growth.
Players in the redesigned game

Has anyone here ever Coded the 39 pick-5 this way?
No jackpots!
Have won many smaller prizes, but, I don't play very much.
Best I've done recently is a straight in Daily 4.
It's all about choosing.
Set up the data and make the best choices possible.
Learn from your mistakes, and keep trying!

Ireland Lottery doesn't have enough cash to pay €94m mystery winner
They will be given the standard Winner Advice booklet and DVD, which includes advice on security, dealing with charities, etc.
We need a Lottery Post DVD and Booklet version of this!
There has been great advice on the forums on how to deal with winning big jackpots, when it comes to
security, lawyers and relatives etc..
I think all U.S. lotteries should have this available for jackpot winners.

why do black americans rarely win big jackpots
FOR every black winner i could find 3 non black winners, look at the show how the lottery changed my life.
According to the 2010 census, Black Americans are 12.6% of the U.S. population. If your statistics, one out of every four jackpot winners is Black is correct, 25% of the jackpot winners are Black. That means twice as many Black Americans are winning jackpots based on their population percentage. If your statistics are correct, Black Americans are purchasing on average twice as many jac

Illinois Lucky Day Lotto adding midday draw in June
Looks like another marketing move by Northstar to turn a $1 affair into a $2 affair. Factor in Ez Match and what was a $1 ticket becomes a $4 ticket.
This seems to be a twist on Red Game / Green Game Keno. (Casino keno)
Todd, I see what you mean about posting the the jackpots, guess a midday to an evening rollover is a new situation.
Ignatius,
I track this game all the time, sounds like you don't get to play too often. The jackpot is rarely over $575,000. There is a Jackpot History o

Lottery Code has already been broken
Honestly if I had a system to correctly predict the lottery 100% of the time, I'd first win a few large jackpots, then I'd make the knowledge public.
I mean I wouldn't want all the attention if I won the lottery by luck , because that's bad attention. Jealousy. If I was to develop a lottery system that works
100% of the time, then it would attract a different kind of attention. I'd go down in history like einstein, newton etc. Be known forever.
And if in the far future they in
