Florida to reveal winner of $590.5 million Powerball lottery
A woman from Zephyrhills, Florida, has stepped forward to claim last month's $590.5 million Powerball jackpot, the largest in U.S. history.
The Florida Lottery scheduled a news conference for this afternoon in Tallahassee, promising big news about the Powerball winner.
The winning ticket was sold at a Zephyrhills Publix. Though speculation about the winner's identity was rampant in the east Pasco town, no winner had come forward since the drawing.
Around noon Wednesday, the unnamed woma

Texas Lottery suspends sales for 'All or Nothing' game
By Todd Northrop
The Texas Lottery has temporarily suspended sales for its All or Nothing draw game.
The Lottery Commission says it has been notified by GTECH Corp., the lottery operator in Texas, of a game design issue. The issue is caused in part by player propensity to play certain numbers.
The Texas Lottery will evaluate placing limitations on wagers that can be purchased for any number combination in the game. According to the Lottery, The practice of setting liability limits is co

PB California - Did they do the math right?
I don't think their goal was to fine tune the percentage to deliver a $1,000,000 2nd prize payment. You can't really do that. All they did was copy the prize share percentage of 9.7% from another state. So that just means that the cumulative percent of revenue paid out on 2nd prize tier would be the same.
With CA pari-mutuel PB, sometimes 2nd prize will be higher than $1M, sometimes it will be lower. And the prize value rolls over and is always paid out, unlike fixed prizes which do not roll

PB California - Did they do the math right?
I'm curious about the 5/5 prize for the paramutuel payout in CA and I know we still have a low number of draws to base any conclusions on but did they get their math right? I thought that they set the game up to closely mimick the results from the states that use the standard payouts. Are they putting enough money from each ticket into the 5/5 prize pool so that over time we will see an average payout at the 1 million level? So far it doesn't look like it, but maybe CA players have just been on

Canada's Lotto 6/49 is getting a makeover in Fall 2013
Unless you are increasing the payback percentage it is all just smoke and mirrors.
The lottery makes you believe that your odds are going down to 6.6 but they dont tell you that the cash prize
odds are decreasing drastically. They want to churn your free plays over and over again. I sure do not play
the lottery for the free quick pick ticket. I would prefer just putting that prize pool to increase the money won
from hitting 4 or 5 of six. But that will never happen as the lottery kno

Fibonacci Retracement Calculations New Jersey Cash 5
Hello sandnan ,
Here's a link that lists the Fibonacci percentages for numbers 1 thru 60.
I do not have data for your specific lottery, I'm sorry. I track NJ, MM, and PB,
and that's only when I have time. I haven't been able to do it consistently. The
idea is to look at the numbers from the previous draw, after they are multiplied by the percentages,
(there are different methods that can be used), to determine a set of numbers to use in a wheel
for the next drawing. It's a lot

Wheeling is so 1920!!
I use basically a grid to make my wheels. I focus on mainly two repeats, two 1 day skips. (If I can endure the losses when the trend is cooling)
However two 5 day skip, two 7 day skip two 13 day skips come at their own regular intervals.
But according to the maxim that which is most likely occurs most often, well then its 0 day and 1 day skip ( however these can go cold)
I would say large wheels are not nice on the pocket unless you have a million dollars and are just trying to win anot

The Wave Matrix - Excel 2007 Addin
It's a good starting point.
Run a few samples and see what kind of waves are produced.
With little variation in the interger pool set of numbers you might need to use less waves.
We have run a few random samples with a set of {0, 1}.
It seems to work well with the defaults.
This also runs in to a problem of two kinds.
One, an event that has an actaul wave frequency that changes beyond the sampling frequency.
Two, the samples don't change very much from sample to sample, ie.
