Before I was retired I participated in several lottery pools at work. One, I put a dollar in twice a week which played the local lottery and others were formed whenever there was a big PowerBall or BigGame jackpot. One or two people were usually in charge and everyone who wanted in contributed the same amount, they bought the tickets, made copies of them for everyone in the pool and the plan was to split the winnings equally, however we never won a jackpot. When the winning was small enough t

Low Powerball Jackpots.
I voted for more states. Why? Look at the sales figures on LottoReport. For a JackPot of 10 mil, the average sales is about 11 mil. That is not a large margin of error so-to-speak. If they have a jackpot winner plus all the small winners, they are coming dangerously close to losing money. They can't increase the jackpot without increasing sales (more states) or decreasing the players chances of winning. Personally, I don't want them making it any more difficult to win (adding more numbers

Are Lotteries Rigged
Quote: Originally posted by Pick-4_Master on June 26, 2004 ......it could also mean making the game harder or almost impossible to win so you would basically need PURE LUCK to hit....Making a lottery harder to win isn't rigging the game but is instead just decreasing the odds of winning. If a game's odds go from 20 million to 1 to 30 million to 1 , the game isn't rigged because you will know in advance that the odds are now 30 million to 1, and you have the right to decide not to play. Low Powerball Jackpots.
Ok. After the past 2 Powerball jackpots not breaking $100 million, and the three jackpots last year that didn't even get to $20 million (remember that one of them was hit at the starting level), I have devised this poll to look at what the MUSL could do to get an increase in sales, so the jackpots would go up. Also, the Michael Moore as a spokesperson idea is just a joke. We all know he is a dumb liberal who doesn't back up hie facts in his movies (notice I didn't use the word documentaries

Lottoways, couldn't ask my agent about the increase in payouts because he was on the phone as usual and that burns the crap out of me. I'm purchasing tickets, beer, etc. and he's BS'ing with his friends on the phone while I'm trying to do it.Gotta start going to my other guy for my tickets. It's too serious from our point of view to make mistakes...I only have a few bucks a day to spend and I want them entered properly.Got 5 bucks straight on 359 tonight (on separate tickets of course)...gotta

Todd:I was immediately suspicious of when I first discovered their service last year. The sheer logistics of what they claim to do seem beyond belief and the endless price increases as jackpots increase only lend more support to those suspicions. The officials from their service contend, however, that they purchase tickets through official lottery retailers from all listed lotteries and this is supervised by an accounting firm per their Lloyds of London insurance agreements. They guarante

Does A Jackpot Win Use Up All Your Luck?
>That small group may have different playing habits than the general public. I have a theory that your chances of winning increase if you don't care at all about winning and in fact dread the whole idea of winning. If someone has already won big, they have lost the desperate crazed need the rest of us have to win a jackpot and escape whatever dreariness we have in our lives. If they buy a ticket, they know they absolutely don't need the money and in fact would be taking the money away from so
