California and Powerball
Assuming that neither Powerball or Mega Millions are won and re-set, the Powerball jackpot will be $80 million for the Wednesday, April 10th drawing Mega Millions will be about $56 million for the Tuesday, April 9th drawing. When Californians have a choice, it would be interesting to see how many people will decide to buy $2 Powerball tickets instead of the $1 Mega Millions tickets when the jackpots will be close to the same amount and the odds of winning are about the same. Would yo

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Normal Lottery - Jackpots range from 2M - 6.3M Euro Millions - Jackpot starts at 12M and caps at 164M Thunderball - Jackpot is 500K and you have to match 5 numbers and 1 Thunderball. Hotpicks - Is like a add on game for the normal lottery, you can do Pick 1 - Pick 5 and if you do say Pick 3 you have to match all 3 numbers out of the draw and you win. If you do Pick 5 and you match you win 130K I think and if you Pick 1 you win 5GBP. Scratchers - 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 Pound cards,

Do you play draw games and scratchers or just draw games and which ones?
Hi again, Just curious to what people play. Do some people play both draw games and scratchers and which draw games and what dollar amount for scratch tickets do people play? I play both draw games and scratchers. I play MM and PB with the multiplier and Powerplay option. Play Mass Cash, cost is a dollar to play (that game is played 7 days a week). On Mass Cash I play it every now and then but not daily. Lucky for Life the draw game that has a main prize of 1000 a day for life but costs 2.00

why did more people win in the 1990's than today? Lotto.
maringoman, Before the last matrix change the PB odds were over 195M to 1. Scientistman, The odds againt hitting 5 + 0 on MM are somewhere around 3.9M to 1. The odds against hitting the Illinois loto, with jackpots usually beywen $1 and $3M, are over 20.3M to 1. An extra buck on the MM is a much better chance to hit $1M than the Illinois 6/52 when the jps are low.

How do you determine which scratch-off to buy?
Interesting; although, I'm having a hard time following your math... So, they ended the game with over 2,467 winning tickets still unclaimed? I find that a bit odd... I could see a few large prizes still waiting to be claimed, but not that many. And with only 69 tickets (or so) remaining in the entire state... you bought 57 of them with no big winners, that means roughly 2,400 tickets with sizable jackpots were still waiting to be claimed by June? (Store #3 inventory unknown etc.) Somet

Do some number combinations have better odds?
RJOh, Some folks just hate the idea of a lucky lottery player winning so much money for so little work. And how many people do you know who are in this category? I don't know one. Do you think there might have been another reason those folks advocated for smaller jackpots? Besides, what does this have to do with whether certain number combinations have better odds than others? --Jimmy4164

How long can you go without playing?
Tne bigger the jackpot the more people play... I could never understand the thinking of the people that only play when the jackpots are absurdly high (PB MM). If it is worth a dollar to play for a $100,000,000, why is it not worth a dollar to play for $1,000,000 (or whatever the current minimum is ... since that is not my game)? Most average people could probably retire on 1-3 million if they wanted to ... unless they're wasteful and can't manage their money. ...thus the odds are less in y

Poisoned lottery winner's family reportedly didn't share his last meal
In Idaho your name and city are public info, but you don't have to do a press conference or even have your photo taken. The only time the media latches on to mere million dollar winners here is when they do the press conference, especially if they do it at the store they bought the ticket at. When you don't do the publicity, the lottery just publishes your name on their website, so the only people who know are the ones who regularly peruse that section looking for people they know. I've never

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Yes, I do believe Gail Howard is simply a great marketer. That is it. She doesn't win money playing the lottery, she makes money convincing shmucks they can win. I don't fault her for it, I guess that's the same thing Poker players do every day. The point is, I won't advocate being a brainless drone and falling for her BS. Wheels are available online free, and to be quite frank, I'm sure the wheeling generator on LP is better, but I don't use it and I rarely play lottery anymore anyway. I have o
