ga. fantasy five
This just shows you that all lotteries are random, and that all systems are worthless. Three people won this probably because all the numbers are low and they are obviously birthday numbers. Of course this sum rarely hits since there are so few combinations to produce this sum, and obviously sums like a hundred are more prone to hit since there are hundreds of combinations for sums in that range. Its just common sense. It dont increase your likelihood if you play a certain sum. Its all rand

Buying more tickets = reduced odds
I plan to increase my chances of winning something in the PowerBall drawing this weekend by purchasing several combinations. I know there are 120,526,770 possible combinations and 3,342,046 of them will pay $3 or more and I hope that some of my combinations are among them. I'll be looking at past history and hoping to pick only numbers that are most likely to be drawn to reduce my selections to about 20 lines which in well within my budget. My chances aren't as good as being in a pool of pla

Powerball $170 Million Drawing Tonight
If there is no winner tonight, the tickets sales rate will increase to well over 20,000 per minutes and terminals at businesses on the borders of the PowerBall states will have lines of outerstaters waiting to buy tickets. When I head over to Indiana to buy my tickets,I prefer to drive an extra mile or two pass the first point of sales, it takes an extra five minutes but it saves about thirty minutes of waiting in line. Some places will print QP's in advance for those players in a hurry with c

Buying more tickets = reduced odds
I sent in this question to Powerball.com and they provided the following answer:Q: CAn a person effectively reduce the odds of winning a powerball jackpot by usingthis formula?; 1:120,526,770/N, where N is the number of tickets purchased. Inother words, can 2:120,526,770 be reduced to 1:60,263,385, where 2 is the numberof tickets purchased?A: You cannot purchase enough tickets to effectively reduce your odds in thisgame. Instead of thinking about it as odds, think about it as numbers. There a

Connecticut firefighter wins $2.6M
Quote: Originally posted by CASH Only on May 04, 2004Dr EW:Connecticut Lotto usually increases 100k-200k per rollover. Months often pass between jackpot winners (although not lately).I say CT join Hot Lotto, which has a better chance of winning $2 (Hot Ball) than matching 3-of-6 in CT Lotto. At the same time, lengthen the annuity from 25 payments to 30, and change the 5/39 matrix to 5/42 while keeping the number of Hot Balls at 19.WOW. Did i just hear CASH Only say increase th

Super 7
How many bonus jackpots will they have? They have added about 50 million to these two jackpots. No taxes and a fair game, who the hell wouldnt play it. God forbid US states would ever help the player like that. US states just change the games to make them seem better with bigger jackpots, but little do most people realize that the odds are worse. For once I wouldlike to see a state add payback percentage. Its marginal cause that would increase sales to bring ever more revenue. Why anyone b

Whats optimal strategy in lottery invest
Hi Hot Lotto,I don't know the answer to this question.....wish that I did !! However, what I've done over the last few years is to increase my stake as the prizes grow larger. I always play quick-picks and in Australia they offer 12, 18 and 24 game quick-picks (as against 5 games in the US).So what I tend to do is but say 24 the first week, 36 the second, 48 the third etc and return back to 24 when Division 1 has been won. This system seems to work quite well for me and I've run it close on m

Tennessee Senator criticizes Lottery vacation, sick leave policy
As a State Employee in Pa., I refrained from commenting yesterday, although there is a lot I can say. I wanted to wait until what was said by others,First of all, I'm glad Ms. Paul is NOT in Pa. And I don't work for Tennessee. Maybe it's becauseTenn. and Georgia Lotteries are ran differently than Pa.'s (a bureau in the Dept. of Revenue). I have no problem with the Leave policies for State Workers there, it's pretty similar to what we get. But I do agree, paying $1,000,000 to a glorified b

IL Hawthorne racing meet-Exactas
Laverne, sorry I wasn't clearer when I referred to small fields...I meant the number of entries in the races. While a full field would mean 12 entries, a short one would be like Hawthorne is averaging per race, in the 7-8 range. That's not good for the track or the payoffs, but it makes picking a little easier.Tues. we had a 2-5 winner in the 6th for 36.20 and in the 8th the 5-4 hit for 140.20. As I mentioned before you could cut way back on the amount of bets you make by concentrating on t

pick 3 winners?
Brdman12 brought up an interesting point...it's not necessarily the numbers you pick, but how you play them. If you're on a winning streak increase your bets by .50 straight until you've lost 125 consecutive dollars and then decrease your bet to your original starting point. This way you are taking advantage of the lottery's money and your hot and cold streaks.Another thing I agree with him on is box betting....does anyone really make a profit on that? and if so, what percentage. I have found
