Probability of a rollover in PB and MM
The Megamillions jackpots in this particular series of rollovers is slightly larger than the last record breaking (see Jake649's thread) series of rollovers culminating in the $239 million dollar jackpot. Even so, the series now underway is closely tracking the previous run, about $2,000,000 annuity dollars greater on each rollover. This is way probably premature, and very loose, but the probability that the $239 jackpot will be matched is very approximately about 17% over all. The probability

Self-Service Terminals
No, Definitely not. It's just like the self- serve cashiers we all see in the supermarkets and building supply stores . These self- serve machines cut down on JOBS for people. The retailers are paid a cent or so for every slip they run , once they install the machines it will cut into the profit of the small retailer. I am all for convenience and I don't like waiting in lines, however we are as a people becoming to automated, to our own detriment. These are jobs that teens and college students n

One jackpot winner in Michigan WinFall drawing
i hate the idea of a jackpot cap in general. it only really works with smaller prize amount games (I.E. Michigan Rolldown). it's like the state is saying that there's no way they can have an in-state game that will compare to a multi-state game. the michigan lottery should at least increase the jackpot cap to around 10,15, or 20 million, or even better, get rid of the jackpot cap. how often does someone match all 6 numbers in that game anyway? think about the rollovers if nobbody matched al

Intel,There is a thread posted that explains why Goose is not allowed here any more. Basically, he sent several members filthy cursing messages through private messages, which was the straw that broke the camel's back.Euro Millions is a new Eurpean lottery game, based in the UK, France, and Spain, that has jackpots that start at a minimum of 15 Million Euros (about $19 Million USD). So far, so good...
Thanks Goose...and I shall win too... WHY, HOW?? you say. Because I selected my numbers using Dowser's custom fabricated DOWSING RODS.Crafted with typical Pennsylvania German care and skill...these scientific wonders take the guess work out of winning the lottery. It has become too easy. They are currently working at about 50% efficiency. But, as we know, 50% is not good enough for hitting the jackpot. Just do the math...meaning we need all six, not just three numbers. The rods are perfection. Th

Inspired by American lotteries like Mega Millions, outfits in Spain, Britain, and France have joined forces to woo European bettorsViviane Leconte isn't one to bet on the ponies -- too complicated to be much fun, in her view. But two weeks ago, Leconte, a 58-year-old receptionist in Paris, finally found her gambling Valhalla with the launch of Euro Millions, the first pan-European lottery, and won $400 on her first try. It's so easy, she beams. After more than a decade of research, three nation

anyone use stuff from saliu.
Yeah the Median is definitely a strategy to hold on to. Definitely a way to increase the profits. No, I don't know what Ion4 Ion5 are. I haven't bothered looking. Not use all the MDIEditor filters? Then it leaves WAY too many combos. I'm not the type who is satisfied with running the program with loose filters and then just play as many combos as I can afford near the bottom of the results. I want to filter down to very few combos all the time so my strategy is always fully covered.

Expected Return
Quote: Originally posted by Jake649 on February 19, 2004 One lottery that currently does have a positve expected value is the Mass Millions with a jackpot of $48.5 million. If I lived there, I would only buy tickets for this lottery to the exclusion of all other lotteries until the jackpot is won. Can Jake649 or prob987 please post their numerical calculation of the expected value for the Mass Millions $49.2

lottery machine and computer
To me it sounds like Jim is telling you people prefer a process they can not only keep an eye on, but that isn't open to cheating by programmer, lottery employee or hacker. Some people believe a crooked game is fair if you aren't the one being cheated, who cares if the horse race is fixed if you bet on the winner.Would you play a video dice game where the probability of certain combinations being drawn were found to be off? Too few winners in the Indiana game is exactly that proof. Lottery offic
