Total Combination List Using Excel?
Fellow Forum Members, I have figured out on my own how to use the combin function so that I can get the total number of combinations possible when picking 3 numbers out of a pool of 20 numbers. By using the function =COMBIN(20,3) I'm able to determine that a total of 1,140 combinations is possible. What I'm not able to figure out is how to get EXCEL to generate the actual numbers for all of the 1,140 combinations as a list in a single column with hyphens in between the numbers. Can anyone out

Thanks for the input. Groups of three, (for 5/39) gives patterns that are 13 digits long for eg. 1000101100100 for 5 digit draw. Possible patterns if only one hit in any 3 group is from 0000000011111 to 1111100000000, approx. 16,000 combos. possible, why bother, just use single numbers. Sirmetro, this is a methodolgy, look at any game, 5 of 39, 6 of 39, whatever, as long as it is less than forty numbers, you will see repetitive patterns where the numbers fall into regularly. Improvement is generally considered to be without adding more combinations. Open cover wheeling designs are usually built to a percentage of coverage or to fit a budget. You can build wheels yourself with CoverMaster. A setback. For several days I've believed I was on the brink of having keno figured out. Yesterday I tried a method I thought might be the final step, but I only had four lines available for posting in the ATCAN predictions slot....
