What's with NY Sweet Million??
My apologies to The State of New York Lottery.... There have been 9 Jackpot winners of SM since it began on 9/17/09. And the buy 5 get 3 free promotion is working, because the number of prizes in each category ($500, $40, $3)in August was higher than in July. For example in July there was a range of 1,026 to 1,495 $40 winners, where as in August the range was 1,400 to 1,772. What's harder to see, is that 8 of those 9 JP's were won in the first six months of the games history. After Marc

Question about Ohio Classic Lotto
Hello everyone, I am new to the forum but have actually been lurking in the dark for several years now. Anyway, I had a question about the Ohio Classic Lotto. The cash value is never posted publicly (to my knowledge), but it is stated to be 50% of the jackpot amount. However, lately, rates have been incredibly low, causing cash values to be higher. For instance, a person who wins Mega Millions and opts for the cash option would be entitled to $8.3 million (69.2%) of the $12 milion annuitized val

The Matrix has been changed...
Well the voting analogy depends what party you favor because I never heard a republican question how deBold runs the elections. Heck, one VIP said he could guarantee an outcome years ago. Yes, as seen in the news, there are historical glitches that raise an eyebrow. I guess it all depends on what side of the fence you are on. One guy here is an expert on all things lottery and does all he can to do damage control on Hot topics. There is every reason to believe the software can be manipulated

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
KY FLOYD What about the hundreds of people who have won lottery jackpots? We know it was his handiwork because many of those people thanked him. What about the thousands who have gotten cancer and not died like the vast majority who had it? We know he cured them because many of those people thanked him for curing them. All you have to do to see the evidence is to want to see it. I hear this all the time so let me point somethinig out to you that you may not have thought about before f

Are you amaze to see some of the same people win jackpots again and again
I'm not really so sure that's true, THRUST. Various people have been said to say the harder the work the luckier they become but I thinking many things it is indeed just luck. No conscious effort, people just get lucky. I think it was Reba McIntyre who sang the national anthem at a rodeo or minor legaue ball game and it just so happned that someone from the music industry was there that night and heard her. There are many such stories. For the question in the OP about people winning mul

Texas Lottery player wins fourth multi-million-dollar prize
Unsolved Mystery: 4-time Texas lotto winner rich with money- Beyond Coincidence ??? Wonder if the Math PhD will start overcoming the odds in Las Vegas ??? EddessaKnight By PAUL J. WEBER, BISHOP, Texas The odds that Joan Ginther would hit four Texas Lottery jackpots for a combined nearly $21 million are astronomical. Mathematicians say the chances are as slim as 1 in 18 septillion that's 18 and 24 zeros. Just as unlikely? Getting to know one of the luckiest women in the worl

Poll: Shared Jackpot PP/QP
Well, I figured that's what DD was saying. I just wanted to get clarification . LOL. I have said it before, and will say it again. Lotteries don't have to fix or cheat, the odds alone make it hard enough. As for making sure there are losers to make the jackpots higher, well, look at PB that just got hit Saturday night. It wasn't what I would call a high jackpot. I don't understand why someone would bother to play if they have that much distrust. Might as well go to a casino. As for QP v

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
I am not for store bought QP s. There are too many events that point that they are not drawn from a complete pool of combinations. I would be more inclined to use LP generated QP s as a more reliable pool that makes QP s from a random generator. What is the difference? YOU control the QP. Could there be shared jackpots? Yes, but, it is very unlikely the LP members would have the same sets in play. If two and three people win from store bought QP s and the sales are low, there is some kind of fix

Why do people play QP's?
I never play qp in p3 p4 not even for curiosity or comparison is just nonsense to me, hey you can throw triples in the mix why do people plays triples all time?, I seldom do only when it s in my red zone just one in 2,3 months period and one triple, I think is because all the work people have to do is pick one number right 777 that I think is why they buy triples or qps or quads on p4, wow how challenging is that! Now I do play qps rarely on p5 and major jackpots why? Cause I breaking my head
