Here in Belgium, they scan when they are opening a whole roll of tickets. That's a measure against theft. When you steal a whole roll of tickets and it's not scanned, you cannot receive your earnings. A single winning ticket will not be scanned, they only enter a number (on the ticket) in the lottery machine to check it's a winning ticket.

When buying scratch tickets do you buy one or at least two or more of the same ticket at a time?Reply
I always buy just two at a time, in addition to finding out what the next starting number is. Never scratch anything in a store, don't want to look like some pathetic lottery loser lunatic. Sometimes I take a peek into the wastebasket right next to the lotto vending machines, and see if I can spot a few sequencing tickets. (ex. #042, 043, 044 are all in the basket. Many times I'll purchase a ticket from the machine and next ticket # is 045, and a winner).

Congrats DR65. I have seen the 7 twice. One was a $50 overall ticket win and the other $100. I like that ticket.....That red 777 would be nice to find :) I took $100 out at Sheetz. Anyone play the new $10 Fla Lotto Black ticket ? yeah rjoh, i was thinking something similar about this story. id hate to share my pot with the store owner becuase i was too cheap. and it only being a $1 ticket.but what if theres a doulbe print of one of your $25 wheels or something? does the shop then stick it to the machine if the terminal was $1 short, it would mean the shop owner didnt actually pay for the ticket and as lottoery official i would void it.

So I had a little good luck out of my favorite go to machine tonight at giant. Hit $100 on diamonds and 7s got the 7 with $10 and $10x 3. Ticket#009 And $50 on big money ticket #41. I was glad to get a win today the daily screwed Me on like 10 different tickets, off by a number as usual.
