At what jackpot will you continue or quit working?
The question is easy to answer for somebody that is already retired but is complicated for those that are not.
During the 1950's and 1960's the self-help and financial books used to talk about if you could maake $12,000 a year you'd be sitting pretty good .
That shows how important it is to factor in inflation when considering the amount necessary to live comfortably for the next 20 or 30 years. When most of the states started lotto games in the 70s, the jackpots were usually $1 million

Lottery winner demonstrates the right way to claim a big jackpot
If I choose to respond to a post I simply give it the response I think it deserves. I didn't see that you said anything useful about legal entities in this thread, but you felt it necessary to whine when appreciation was expressed for somebody else's answers. I thought your whining deserved a response.
If you think my comment was genius, then you obviously see some difference. I thought it was a relatively simple assumption, which means I could be completely wrong*, but thanks, anyway.

Using Win To Start a Business
Topics like this is how I will spend the winnings even though I didn't actually give any thought to choosing the correct numbers or using a playing strategy that would give me the most for my lottery bucks.
A week ago there were 65 college basketball teams in the NCAA tourney and the players could have speculated on their post game interview after making the winning shot. Or they could have done all the necessary preparation to get them into position to make that tourney winning shot.
I'm

I'll never win any Jackpot
I know someone at a convenience store I frequent that won a $77,000 jackpot buying one ticket. That's all it takes to win, one ticket. And it was a quickpick. She had never played the game, and maybe that was one reason she wasn't being so self-negative.
And odds? Odds are only good for discussion purposes with another individual. You can never escape the fact that even if the odds were a billion to one, someone is going to beat them and win the jackpot ! These jackpots are all guaranteed to

buying lottery tickets
If two of the jackpot winners bought their tickets in states that didn't allow anonymity there could be a question of was there really another winner in another state that said the winner wished to remain anonymous. It's the perception of the jackpot winners that didn't play in the other state and played by different rules. When we consider some of the things that happened with the Tennessee Lottery, asking for proof there was actually another winner in another state is a legitimate question.

New Florida Lotto playslips a bother to some
Yes, mylollipop. Guess I wasn't too clear in my post. What I meant is that the extra bonus is paid over 30 years, just like the Lotto jackpot. That doesn't mean you can't opt for a lump sum, but it's the same as when you win any jackpot. Example: the jackpot for Wed is advertised as $10, $20 or $35 million. You either are spending $1 for the $10M jackpot, $2 for the $20M jackpot or $3 for the $35M jackpot. All of these jackpots are paid over 30 years. If you want the cash option, the lump sum va

The custom lottery results page is what I want. However, I need to be able to sort the list by result so that I can see the trend for the night. Have you ever noticed that all the lotteries coming out for a certain night will be within a given range? If I can isolate the pattern (and there is one) then I can figure out what the first number of the draw will be. Or at least give me an advantage play by giving me a range to stick in. Then the rest of the numbers are contingent of the first. I can

How do I determine the interest rate received on annual payments?
True - many moons ago I questioned why the Mystical forum had ten times the traffic of the Mathemnatical forum, but I didn't strip the dream requests out of Mystical when I asked.
But, what is rational about dirving ourselves nuts over jackpots that haven't been hit?
How would you spend it, and would you try to remain anonymous are one thing, agonizing over percentages on a make believe are another.
Just my $.02
YMMV

How do I determine the interest rate received on annual payments?
No offense towards anyone, but why all these threads and anguish over jackpots that haven't been hit!
Once upon a time, a lotto player climbed the Himalayas to query the guru, and once at the top, asked about interest rates and investments.
The guru asked the player, So how much was the jackpot you hit?
The player said they hadn't hit one yet.
The guru said, Come back and ask if and when you do .

I know you have developed the Gadget for real time result available on your desktop. That is not what I am going to suggest.
I also know you are a very busy guy and may have not have the time to do this.
That said, I still want to ask for it.... (I feel like a kid in a candy store.)
On the Jackpots page, where you can change the view by date and so forth, I would like to see the results listed there as well. I don't know how that would fit. But I would like to be able to see the jackpo
