Tonight's Fla. Lotto drawing first to let players increase jackpot
I actually think this is a great idea, for a few reasons. It gives players a choice of raising the jackpot without making the game more difficult to win. If you're like me, you love when Mega Millions or Powerball try to make the jackpots larger, but you hate when they make the game harder to win in order to achieve it. The Florida Lotto jackpot gets hit often, because it is such a popular game, with relatively good odds of winning. (And because MM and PB are not available in the state.) Thu

Geographical location and jackports.
This is for the Illinois Pick 5 game jackpots paid so far this year. (Using Pick 5 because there is a drawing daily). Go through the thread and see where the winners are. https://www.lotterypost.com/thread/168387 Chicago explains itself, 600 (meaning 600,601, 602, etc..) series zip codes are the Chicago area and collar counties (surroundoing counties).

Are you a "serious" player?
I have a couple of workouts for each of the Texas lottery games, plus MegaMillions. I update the data streams everyday, but I don't play all of the games everyday. Lately, I've been concentrating on Pick 3 and hit 2 box picks last week. Spent $6 and got $80 back! I play Cash 5 everyday, but the jackpots have fallen to around $25 grand. Lot of work for a little money, in my opinion. Think I'll give up on it and send more $$$ to Florida where a relative buys me tickets in their Fan5 game -

Texas students rank USA lotteries
I liked it too. California, which scored 71 points, got kudos for promptly closing scratch-off games after top prizes are gone, keeping its scratch-off ticket prices low and not collecting state income tax on prize money. Okay - now I need to check Florida! Only 30 points? What is wrong with a Free Ticket? I get a free ticket if I get 2/5 in Fantasy 5. I guess some people would rather get $1 and choose their own numbers, but is it bad because you get a QP? Many of these Free

how did you do in the lottery for 2007?
Did better than I did. I started keeping track and doing a set amount each year in 2003. Hence the $20 dump due to only playing with high jackpots vs whim. Keeping track is fun and a good way to see just how much you can spend. I think another good question for a poll would be: What was the most you ever spent at one time on lottery tickets? For me, that would be $20. I was behind a guy in line at the 7/11 who was buying, really, $250 worth of Mega Million tickets.

N.D. Lottery wrestles with credit card buying options
The original post that mentioned the matrix would definitely apply if another ball was added. For example, we have a game here that's sort of like PB but jackpots start at $500,000 and roll to $2 million max. There are 4 balls drawn and then 1 MegaMoney ball. If they added a ball, of course it would make a huge difference and it would be impossible to use the same tickets. I also know where you are coming from when you say it changes the odds, but I'm wondering if the ND lottery would credit

winning millions on jackpots, state lottery responsibility
No. Although people have brought it up before, I think the whole concept is ridiculous. Here's your money, so now it is necessary to attend classes on what to do with it. I do believe that they should have programs (which they do, but they're not very effective) to help those who gamble too much on the lottery. However, if you count the number of people who actually win large jackpots in one state, the number is small. I mean, how many people have won PB or MM in any one state? Anyway,

pick 3 lottery card
I think we should be able to play numbers through a machine similar to an ATM. That would take care of the interstate gambling rule or using a credit card to purchase tickets and it could be completely anonymous. Race tracks with off-track betting have that type of machines that take cash or you can get a ticket voucher from the betting window. You can bet the horses in California or the dogs in Florida from a track in West Virginia, Ohio, or Pennsylvania. Each track gets a percentage of t

POLL: Computerized Bingo
CoinToss...hey ! Good topic. Over the past 15 years, our lottery corporation started running computerized bingo at bingo halls across the province. Known as Superstar Bingo in someplaces or the LINK here in Ontario, it's played three times daily, with varying jackpots. You can win big money, up to $300,000 on LINK PLUS (the game) that grows each time it is played. If a player bingos on their PLUS number they win the big pot. It is computer generated from lottery offices in Sault

Which 6/49 Pond Will You Be Fishing In Next Draw ? A, B, C ? All Three
& Which 6/49 Pond Will You Be Fishing In Next Draw ? A, B, C ? All Three ? & The following three 36-number-group ponds may need very little tweaking, but they're close enough to the right shape, size and construction for the time being. & I consider these three pond-groups to be the hottest and most productive segments of the 6/49 field, and by playing only within these three segments every draw, you will increase your chance of a jackpot hit tremendously over playing the odds
