Hoosier Lotto
Estimated Jackpots:
Hoosier Lotto - $50.5 Million
Powerball - $20 Million
Next Drawing: 10/10/2007
It continues to roll. With odds of 1:7 of winning a free ticket and only 260,521 of them won, I'm guessing the jackpot not attracting a lot of players.

Wheel Generator 1.5
Welcome back!
People should buy that.
But they might prefer to buy pick 3 and 4 programs.
Daily games are hot, jackpots are just a dream, it is possible to win on the pick 3 and maybe on the pick 4.
Lottery players need more pick 3 and 4 programs made.
There are so few pick 4 programs.

Wisconsin Man Claims $29.1 Million Powerball Jackpot!
As an over-the-road truck driver for almost 25 years Steve Peot of Green Bay never imagined he would amass more money than miles. So count him as one very surprised Powerball jackpot winner.
This really is unbelievable , Peot said. Peot, 45, presented the Wisconsin Lottery with the only winning ticket from the September 5th $29.1 million Powerball drawing. He purchased his winner at the Superstore in De Pere. I don't play that often

Quick Picks can't match the power of Self Picks
I see a lot of comments about QP numbers that people aren't happy with, but if you acknowledge that each combination has the same chance of winning, why is that a problem?
Look at the winning combination for the last MM jackpot. All 5 regular balls were even and 2 of them were from the low 40's. Based on the comments I see I'm guessing that most of the people here would have been unhappy to see those numbers on their QP's, but we know there are 4 other people out there who are very happy to

A dollar and a dream true for PB and MM?
I don't claim to be a mathmatician, but if every time you buy another ticket the odds are cut in half, that would mean I'd be guaranteed a win if I keep buying enough tickets. If you buy $5 worth of tickets then you have 5 chances out of $146 million. If your example were true, then I would have no problem winning the FL lottery which was over $40 million last week. (although tonight's $6M would be just fine)
We've had this discussion many times on LP. Almost everybody argues that I am

Single winner in $314M Powerball lottery drawing
Several reason you may not hear from the winner/winners for a while:
1> They only get one chance to mess it up, and they want to take time to get all the advice they can before signing the claim forms.
2> He/she/they are probably waiting for the MegaMillions jackpot to be won and maybe claimed so all the attention won't be on them.
3> They got lucky and won the PB $314M jackpot so why not try for the MM $330 jackpot while they're on a roll and collect both jackpots later.

Powerball & Megamillions Growing
Those of us who understand how it works are looking at the cap on the increase. The most it can go up is $25 million above the previous record, so therefore 390 is the highest it can go on the first roll that is more than the current record of $365 million. I know it's a challenging concept, but if it rolls to 375 and then goes to 400, the 400 will be the 2nd jackpot that exceeds the current record. It has been pointed out that it could be less than 390, but past sales suggest that's unlikely g

I don't know about the bookie thing. I thought one could only be a bookie if he made a profit on the collection of the money. But I could be wrong. I'm open to enlightenment.
But I plan on my pool working like this:
Participants buy-in for a set amount. This amount goes entirely toward purchasing tickets. And I only make the purchase when the jackpot rolls above $100 million. I keep any winnings under $600. Any amount above $600 will be distributed among the members.
I have to bu

question about the jackpots...
It really doesn't matter because most states have a cap rule to cover such situations that would apply to all tickets regardless of who cash them in.
For example when Ohio had Buckeye5 each 5of5 ticket paid $100K up to $1M and one customer bought 15 tickets with the same five numbers and matched 5of5 on all of them along with another player who matched 5of5 on one tickets. Ohio paid $1M/16 or $62,500 per ticket instead of the $100,000 per ticket.
The guy with the 15 tickets sued the stat
