OFFICIAL: New BG odds 1:135 million!!
Pennsylvania is joining Powerball this summer. PA has a much larger population base than any current MUSL member. Look for Powerball to offer its third version in 2003. Florida WAS to join Powerball in 1999, except Gov. Jeb Bush reversed his predecessor's approval. Texas has been considering joining a multi-state game. Washington state has been pre-approved to join the BG Group, although I believe the state legislature hasn't given approval yet. And don't forget newcomer South Carolina.

Ohio Lottery's Nielsen ratings keep dropping
To all you Ohio posters: Since I live in New York, I don't expect to see any of your lottery commercials. Your lottery won't increase sales no matter who is hired to appear in them. You need Powerball/Big Game, regardless of where the multi-state profits go, or else they'll keep leaving Ohio!

CONN Classic Lotto $22 MILLION Tuesday!!!!!
This is one jackpot lotto game I don't want to have eliminated because of the trend towards multi-state games (Lotto South) replacing single-state jackpot games (Lotto GA and Lotto KY are gone; Lotto VA was modified to become Lotto South.) I'd rather see Massachusetts' 6/49 and 6/42 games canceled.

Michigan Lotto
Charlie,I agree with you. Bonus Ball lotteries like The Big Game and Powerball work because of the fact that they are multi-state lotteries, and therefore have larger player pools.States looking to revamp their lotteries should probably do something like New Jersey did: stick with a pick 6 and offer prizes for matching as few as 3 numbers. New Jersey increased the size of their jackpots by slightly increasing the size of its number pool.I think state lotteries get a little too greedy sometim
