Another great quote
Saw this one this morning....made me think of some threads about winning jackpots, reamining anonymous, etc... The rich never have to seek out their relatives. -Italian proverbs and another: Money can't buy you friends; but you do get a better class of enemies -Somers White

Posting the Rollover Probabiltity Statistics.
I don't care, but that isn't a bad thing. Since the probability of a rollover is a function of how many tickets are sold, a lot of what you post has been posted before for simialr jackpots. There will be minor variations based on the incremental increases, but for the most part the probability of a rollover correlates well with the amount of the cash prize. A cash prize of 34 million today will have roughly the same probability of rolling over as a cash prize of 34 million in 3 months or ne

The "no-no" ticket as a lead to a quick pick
I have been wondering about that too, especially how honest, the system is and does it track people's numbers. sometimes I will buy a quick pick to see what it is running, and since I lay tickets around I have notice that some of them will appear later this applies to jackpots games 5 and 6, as well as the pick 3 and 4 But I apply this happening to energy. If everything is energy why not numbers. That is why I believe so many carry through the states. and why some are seasonal. This i

If you had a 'system'....
Sharing a system by divulging a method of number selection, sure, most of us have done that in posts, even if not meaning to. But sharing a system and then having people wanting you to work the numbers out for them instead of they themselves working them out, no. It would depend on the game, too.....if I came up with something that could produce even a few Pick 5 jackpots a year, since it's a shared jackpot, I'm not telling anybody about it. A fee nights ago in Illinois, the Little Lo

Odds Don't Change When Jackpot Goes UP
Wintariofan Welcome. You are certainly a breath of fresh air- therre are people here who sincerely believe purchasing two tickets instead of one cuts the odds in half. There is such a things as odds vs 'money odds'. Take a crap table where the 2 pays double and the 12 pays triple in the field. The odds of the field numbers are 20 combinations not in the field, 16 in the field. So, 20:16 of losing the field bet. But since the 12 pays triple and the 2 pays double, the 'money odds' ar

New Tenn. congressman wants national lottery
This guy has been using 'fuzzy' math, smoke and mirrors, etc, for too long! Would be interesting to know what game he has in mind. I don't know of a current game that would be attractive to players. Can you imagine a jackpot being divided into couple of hundred parts!!! On the other hand - folks in Canada have been playing a 6/49 lottery for a long time. The jackpots are won frequently, and multiple winners doesn't seem to be a deterrent. An increase to $2 per ticket didn't have the nega

N.C. Lottery to launch Christmas-themed games
I don't know, but I will tell you this: I will not play a $10 scratch ticket with such a low number and amount of of grand prizes. I do my homework... Ga has several $10 tickets with prizes ranging from $ 250,000 ( 60 of these jackpots are available) to others offering $500,000, $750,000, One Million and even 2.5 Million as incentive. SC has decent ones as well. Some are One Million Dollar JP's and they are lump sum... Are you listening, NC ?

'Lottery Secrets" from the Cryptic Vault...
Hello All! I've been wanting to do a thread like this for a while. This thread invoves the Pick 3/4/5 and the Jackpots. Hopefully this will be interesting, thought provokingly intructive and especially fun! The lottery is one big puzzle, and obviously we are all trying to figure it out. Many of us have the pieces in the forms of methods, systems, strategies, and workouts, but we can't really put it all together. Some of us would love to exchange info with others whose work we admire, but

Ridiculously low non-jackpot prize payouts have me fed up
you nailed it: m3g4m1ll10ns..Couple of months ago i was checking exactly that and i had the same question as you (don't know why i didn't post them, but thanks you did)...I was asking myself the same question who comes out with those percentages? It just means that they (the lottery) are better prepared than a bank (banks have to involve themselves with interest rates and percentages)...I was asking myself the same question....I stumble upon that when i was trying to figure out better payouts for
