The sweepstakes known as El Gordo the Fat One sprinkled more than $2.4 billion in cheer throughout Spain on Thursday a 200-year-old tradition that shuns jackpots in favor of thousands of shared numbers that spread the wealth. All 1,700 first-prize tickets, each worth $360,000, were sold by one lottery office in Vic, a town of 30,000 about 40 miles north of Barcelona. Rumors of minor’s lottery buy unfounded
I just have to get something off my chest about this latest Powerball supposed winner and I figured a message board of this nature was as good of a place as any to do it.............maybe no one cares or even feels the same, but here goes................. I realize it's important to take your time and get your ducks in order when you win these largest jackpots in history lotteries - because let's face it, I for one would be awful disappointed if someone irresponsible won it and just went

N.C. Lottery's image takes hit
North Carolina's lottery, not even 60 days old and nowhere near selling tickets, already looks dirty in the minds of the public, Lottery Commission Chairman Charles Sanders said Wednesday. There is a doubt in the public's mind, said Sanders, former CEO of pharmaceutical giant Glaxo, as to whether this is an honest and fair process. Why so much greed?
Hi, Todd. Are you the man who is fighting against computerized drawings? I loved that debate. I, too, hope that it never comes to pass. There's too much riding on allowing players to be a witness to their own luck, good or bad. It's a matter of trust and being on the up and up. Those balls mean something that a computer print-out never will. As for people being fans of the lottery... nah, it's just straight greed. A lottery can only go up and up and up so high. Yes, it's fun to watch the

Texas Lottery jackpot game tickets in sales decline
Citing plummeting revenues that indicate a jackpot fatigue in state lotteries throughout the nation, the chairman of the Texas Lottery Commission challenged the organization's staff to consider boosting Lotto Texas sales by making the game more creative. Why can't we do something creative for a change making it a $4 million jackpot and two Harley-Davidson motorcycles or a Corvette or one of those fancy trucks? said Chairman C. Tom Clowe Jr. Let's create some buzz. Let's give $4 million and
