Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Gr....there will be no doubt that the folks complaining about the wealthy paying their fair share of taxes will gladly volunteer to give up $768,500,000. 00 should they win the jackpot and take the cash value option. That way, they could show us all how it's done. After all, they don't need that much and nobody is restricting them from just giving it to the Treasury. I look forward seeing the day that happens.

$1.3 BILLION: Powerball jackpot soars to 5th-largest in game history
From what I've found in my research, there are only two states, WY and TX, that allow a winner to remain BOTH anonymous and pay no state taxes. That's the best of both worlds.

Are you playing Mega Millions with the $5.00 per play?
Powerball is not priced differently in any participating state. The difference is that in Idaho, the $1 extra for Powerplay is not optional. That means it's priced diffrent nit wit. If you pay more. That means it's diffrent. Reguardless if they automatically add something. Your nerve racking as.f! And the state taxes should be the same rate in each state. Elmer Fudd.......

Powerball reaches $643 million: highest lottery jackpot of 2025
Which is true but you win a billion and 540 million going to taxes makes it feel like you were cheated some. It just seems like too much they take. I think 25% would be fairer.

Virginia Mega Millions $348 million lottery winner plans to buy lawnmower with record prize
It's mularky, that in order to receive the lump sum they only give you half before taxes. The crap they spin on you about this is what it would earn over 30 years in hogwash. They do it this way to encourage winners to opt for the long term so they can earn interest off of your money as well as pay winners of smaller pots
