SC officials getting nervous that $1.5 billion Mega Millions winner won't claim prize
The ticket is not lost. It was the ticket for the biggest lottery ever (or so it was advertised). I would think that any wise adviser would want everything to be perfect before you deal with this kind of wealth. I mean you might be going from living pay check to pay check to now worrying about a cool billion. None of us knows the burdens, planning, and stress that is involved from going into this kind of wealth overnight. I'm really hoping this is the last we hear about this other than it's been

Mom wins largest individual Powerball in Australian lottery history
Continue to work- Yeah, on your retirement. It's no different than quitting the workforce * working for someone else, but * working on your investments etc etc. It's a 24/7 job, don't let anyone think different.
All to often we read of sports figures going after their managers for mishandling their finances - l say, what were you doing, not keeping your eye on the ball? You don't retire to become lazy, to become known as an imbecile.
The other thing about receiving a phone call from the lo

$1.537 billion Mega Millions jackpot won by 1 ticket sold in South Carolina
I will throw in $12 that I won from MM and see what happens. It should be around $8M after all the taxes and advices fees, even I win with Todd, my plan will be intact.
PAY OFF CREDIT CARD DEBT. Splurge little by taking vacation in Disneyworld, $500k house with few new furnitures in current town, put $200k in two banks and invest the rest. This will be well over amount I can fully retire but I will go nuts if I had nothing to do in my house all day with my wife. I love her but we will have re

Option for annuity vs. lump sum on lesser prizes?
https://www.lotterypost.com/search?q=annuity+vs.+lump
First always talk with tax professional.
For STATE jackpot lotteries and scratchers, it is a tossup. Unless your yearly payment is 1MIll+, lump is usually best for tax reasons. Smaller amounts, tax difference savings will probably be better then (guaranteed) investment income to get annuity. Also need to consider, is it enough to quit job and retire, your age (are you going to die before it cash it all), do you have massive debt that ne

How often do you spend and play the lottery?
I check my predictions just about every day and being near the bottom alphabetically, I see most the the other AoN predictions and $500 winners are very rare. It's obvious why because the majority of winning combos match 4 or 8 numbers and the majority of all combos match 5, 6, or 7 numbers. My predictions are mathematically designed so my hit ratio should be at least the overall odds of 22.22% over time. When my life time hit ratio is over 20%, I'll cut back on the predictions.

Free lottery ticket wins N.J. woman $1K a week for life
Well, $52.000 a year for life v/s $1m cash. You could retire and made $1m over 20 yrs or $2m if you live for 40 years. A 20ish or 30ish yr. old person already making $35K+ per year would be better off continuing working as long as you love your job - working for someone else.
I'm 64. Cash it is! Apx $650.000 after taxes. A nice vacation/travel or two a year, a new vehicle and a few toys. Maybe even World Series tickets! Ohhh Yaaah!
