There were 15 winners among the shared jackpots. the average shared jackpot was $65,972. For comparison, through Jan 31 2010: To date: 14 Jackpots 14 PP 9

When To Play The Lottery
Before Powerball and Mega Millions, I think $4 million was a very large lottery prize. It was probably quite rare for any lottery to reach a $10 million jackpot. Some state lottery games' jackpots actually get higher than the lowest starting jackpots of Powerball and Mega Millions. I see this happen on a regular basis with California's state lottery. California's Super Lotto Plus jackpot is currently 36.0 million, which is higher than the jackpots that Powerball and Mega Millions offer when

Down to your last $10, would you buy a ticket for one of the biggest jackpots ever?
Down to your LAST $10, would you take a chance and buy a ticket(s) for one of the country's biggest jackpots ever offered? You may still have a couple dollars left, after buying the ticket(s), but there is NO MORE money (that you know of) coming to you from any source. If your spouse or significant other bought a ticket, knowing full well that $10 was ALL that was left in the bank, how would you react?

I know how to create mass winners of Pick6/52 & PB Jackpots: Got to change the rules a little
This is an unthought of idea...but you got to change the rules a bit..IS very simple and it has been staring us all in the face...Want to know what is it??? The answer is: QUICK PICKS THAT SELECTS 3 NUMBERS AND YOU SELECT THE OTHER 3 numbers...The reason why people dont win with quick picks is because quick picks selects 6 numbers and go through ALL THE 200 MILLION COMBINATIONS of POWERBALL...if people select 3 numbers and the computer quick pick selects the other 3 numbers there is bound to

Do Quick Picks win more jackpots?
Has anyone here done a study or researched whether there have been more jackpots won (Powerball and/or Mega Millions) with a quick pick versus numbers someone picked? Just from memory it seems as if in the last few years, the majority of winners won via a quick pick. Any statistics on this? Thanks!!!

Maybe this could work: Just trying to help. LP could win Jackpots
my bad lottomike i meant to say from time to time.... I am thinking about plan D....I owed this idea to PLraX who made me think of something, who posted in the lottery system forum that he had a question... I found a way to make LP win 3 to 4 jackpots in 1 week x 40 states = 5,760 Pick5 jackpots that LP will win in 1 year, sounds unbelievable but is the truth...Every year...And this is ACTUAL PICK5 JACKPOTS...I'll post them in the next post... that is theoretically speaking...

Powerball and Mega Millions in every state
First, 280M players? I'm fairly certain it's not even close to that even if you combine the total sales of both games unless it's a monster jackpot and even then that's sales, not people playing. This could IMO be the final nail in the coffin of many state lottery games that are already struggling, then there's the huge raise in the odds that would take place which I think would then turn off some and actually, perhaps drive people back to the smaller, single state lotteries, but I doubt it.

Powerball lottery to have larger jackpot, but harder to win
Given that Florida's population is now joining the game, that'spotentially millions more combinations that could have been boughtunder the old system, meaning jackpot winners were more likely. Theydon't want that. That's not quite right. If they had brought in Florida but kept the same odds, winners would be just as likely, since winning is a function of the odds. More people playing would have resulted in winners being more frequent. The jackpots would have grown faster, and been won soone

Finally
Just my $.02 but for a state lottery Florida gets some decent jackpots (granted, population comes in to play here). The state lottery is a pick 6 and Powerball is a 5 + 1. When Califronia was about to join Mega Millions the news hyped it up with potential $500,000,000 jackpots, that hasn't even been close to being approached yet. Once Powerball is available in Florida the state lottery play wil fall off somewhat and the jackpots on the Florida lottery will fall off a lot more.
