$218 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot increased
I run an office pool of 13 and I work in a state government office in my state capital city! If it worked for the MegaMillions, maybe it will work for us! I've been running this pool for several years and it's about time we won.

Worker skips office Mega pool, loses share of $319M
Why shouldn't they respect his wishes not to be in the pool and not share its winning? Do you think if he had played on his own and won all that money, he would have thrown all his former pool members a bone?

Worker skips office Mega pool, loses share of $319M
Under normal circumstances i would say that If the same folks played the pool every week, then I would hope the other 7 would chip in and throw this guy a bone, not millions but at a couple hundred thousand, but according to the article, since the pool participants varied from week to week, and that he USUALLY played, and not all the time, would indictate that nothing is owed to him. If that was the case, then the 7 folks would have to help out all the other part time players in that company as

Disputed $50M lottery jackpot partially paid out
I've run the office pool at two companies and we've always provided copies of the tickets before every draw along with the names and amount contributed by each participant. That way there is no dispute as to what tickets belonged to the Pool participants and what tickets were purchased for themselves personally. People who see our copies laugh and say it could only be created by a bunch of cpa's and attorneys which we are.

Are there some lottery machines better than others in picking winning numbers?
Listen to your boyfriend! In the simplest of terms if pool A has 10 tickets and pool B has 5 million tickets simple math......more than likely the winning ticket will come from pool B The pool itself has a better chance of having a winning ticket.......... not the individual ticket holders.

Christmastime battle over lottery jackpot
If in the past this pool always bought the same amount of tickets expecting players to later pay their share even if they won nothing then Jeanette French shouldn't have a problem winning her case however if it can be shown she only contributed some time with the attitude that I'm in if you win and I'm not if you lose then she may have a problem especially if the pool bought less tickets when she didn't contribute.

If All 80,000 Members of LP Dedicated to Systems for PB and Pick6 We will Win it Everyday
Have you tried getting a pool together to play a pick3 game? This prizes aren't large enough to split among a pool of players.

^You don't have to be a pool player. If we all put our heads together and figured out a better strategy, we could take turns handicapping different lotteries. The pool would just be a group of people who agreed to share the information and play on certain days, so everyone got a sweet deal out of it. I mean, really, there's a jackpot every day. It's not like we'd run out of money to win.
