I've tried Caspernina's method with Florida Fantasy5 many times..... But without much success! Could be that Fantasy5's 5/36 matrix as opposed to Take5's 5/39 matrix has something to do with that. But playing Repeaters and Adjacents is a good strategy with Fantasy5 as Repeaters are drawn in almost 50% of all drawings and Adjacents appear quite often too. Not for nuthin', but the addition of the midday drawing has changed the characteristics of FF5 with regard to the number of times a hot number hits. I made an Excel spreadsheet for FF5 that goes back to 2002. It shows the number of hits that the hottest number of each year had which fall into a range of 61 to 68. To your point about variance, yes, JTJ is obviously going to be higher than a regular ticket. Both are going to be a huge variance, regardless. So, if variance is the concern, don't play the games to begin with.
