2019 and no Billion Dollar PB or MM Jackpot.
Since the 100% increase in the PB MM to $2.00 per play, it seems cutting in half lottery player's buying power has not built up the massive jackpots this year.
Powerball's last Billion Dollar Jackpot was in Jan of 2016 Mega Millions' last Billion Dollar Jackpot was in Oct of 2018.
That also goes along with those mediocre lower tier payouts.
We're glad we avoided the PB and MM this year.
Maybe if there was a Big B in 2020, we'd consider it.
Good Luck

Billion-dollar jackpot for Mega Millions?
MUSL does not want us to win a small amount this time.
The lotteries control how much is won by either skimming straight off the top or by setting the odds and letting probability take care of the rest. Their only interest in how much anyone wins is the publicity they get from advertising the win. They want to advertise big jackpots to boost sales, but they're probably just as happy with 2 or 3 winners splitting the money as they are with 1 person getting it all. They might even prefer mult

Take5 NY
Last night was the fourth consecutive Take5 drawing where there was no jackpot winner. (Friday 11/29/19 was the last date there was a winner, where one player won $64,548)
Recently, I became curious about the number of jackpot winners. I'd like to know both the number of winners per drawing, if there were any jackpot winners at all, and the county the winning ticket(s) were purchased in. I haven't ever tracked that data, but it can be easily obtained from The NY Lottery's website. Although so

Lucky Texan just claimed biggest prize ever paid to a single player in state's lottery
A lucky Texan just won the biggest prize ever awarded to a single player in the state's lottery.
A resident in Leander, a city in the Austin metro area, claimed the $227 million jackpot prize for the Mega Millions drawing in late September, according to a lottery news release. The winner is remaining anonymous.
After taxes, the winner will take home just over $157 million.
While two other jackpots in Texas have been larger, this was the biggest prize won by a single player in the state,

What's the Purpose of the Printed Time of Purchase on Tickets, If Drawing is 15 min to 1 hr Later?
Yep, there have been a lot of posters pass through that have had their own ideas. Years ago there was a poster who came in to tell us we were all using sets and combos wrong. What we were calling combinations and sets were actually permutations. Needless to say all the arguments he offered didn't take hold.
I agree with Floyd and rcbuckeye. We go over the Tipton's and Perry's almost once a month. As you say, they did it for personal gain. I can't think of a single instance where numbers we

'You assume all the money noise stops when you finally have it'
I've always reckoned those who win smaller jackpots of a million or two often get themselves into trouble by not realizing how much tax is still owed to the IRS.
With most of the taxes taken out upfront I'm inclined to think the balance plays a small role, if any. OTOH, I'm sure that a lot of the problems come from not really understanding how much you have, which could be slightly influenced by the final tax bill. If you take home 630k after all the taxes you have enough to buy a 600k hous

'You assume all the money noise stops when you finally have it'
I can understand going through that amt. of money fairly quickly, esp. if the person(s) had never had a significant amount of cash before.
It's just my opinion, no data to back it up, but I've always reckoned those who win smaller jackpots of a million or two often get themselves into trouble by not realizing how much tax is still owed to the IRS. They win a million and get a check for $760,000 (24% taken off the top by Uncle Sam) and then buy a house, maybe a car, take a vacation and live

How long have you chased the carrot for playing the different type of lotteries. Remedies or suggestions.. A remedy would be..
After using all the stats you come up with for your sets also stuff all your pants pockets with 4 different luck charms. Suggestion, stop playing because whatever you come up with will be defeated by the state lottery computers so why keep wasting your time and money?
Does it just chuckle you to no end after people win the lottery jackpots and when news reporters a

California woman claims Mega Millions lottery jackpot worth half-billion dollars
Personally, l have no problem with people winning jackpots Stack, what l cannot understand is the relentless pursuit of lottery officials feeding the press information, and ultimately leading them to where the winner or winners live. This individual probably passed on the photo-shoot, and with good reason, wanting as little as possible to be known about themselves. Where is your secret spot?' l like Laarni's answer though.
A few years back we had a jackpot winner from Southern California as

So much for bigger jackpots!
Maybe it's because there's people like us that only play when it gets above a billion or two.
The $2.00 per line price tag is too pricey to play and to win the mediocre lower tier payouts.
We personally don't care about jackpots, it's the lower prizes that gets us motivated; makes it all worthwhile playing when we do connect on a hit or two that have payouts that reflect the probability of winning.
If you're reading this lotto folks, you need to spread that cash a little more.
IOO.
