lf you won $1million could you see yourself retiring?
I too have wondered what's the percentage of regularly playing lottery players are out there who are hoping a big win would enable them to stop working and retire. That's because when I look at pictures of winners, while there are definitely winners from every age group, I've noticed that there seems to be many winners who look like they're either close to retirement age, or might actually be retired. I've managed to save money for retirement, but sometimes I wish I'd saved more than I did.

I just retire the # that came out today as of March 26th, last night. It's truly such a hard number to get...I missed it. But congrats to others who won. Funny how it came out a year ago too smh during the same month.

I look forward to the day that I can retire. I don't drink coffee. My joke is that it stunts your growth. My mom drunk a lot of coffee. I am only 4ft 8, but I told everyone i was 4ft 11. So, my doctor corrected me. Lol This is a great Thread with the help of so many. I am glad you are enjoying the quotes!

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
On the last comment - I'd argue that people were waiting for the new year for tax purposes. We know FLL takes time to put out those press releases sometimes, may have been claimed last week. But all of those claims were people in their late 50s or early 60s (barring one that was 51). If you're close to retiring and have money saved already, a $1,000,000 win would be enough for most people not to have to put off retirement for the 5 or whatever more years they were planning on. Wait for January 1

How would you claim a lottery jackpot if you won?
Same. You really never know what is going to happen. I would drive down straight away and claim my prize, not saying a darn word to anyone about it. Once it is in my name I would drive to the wealth management office the next town over and get some advice and then to my lawyer's to draw up a will. Depending on how big the JP is personally I wouldn't tell another living soul to begin with. I think it would be neat just to see how long it takes for people to find out, if they find out at all.
