CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
We are 3 weeks away form the $30 game to debut, I should have specifically wondered if you had the payout table odds information. Seems like there will be bunch of TICKET winners, I wanted to see how saturated the payouts are to either go with 3 $30 tickets a month or stick with the 3 $20s a month (maybe 4 if they come out with a good $20 game). I will do it if the $500 prize will be slightly easier to win since that prize requires no tax reporting. ChaCha33 has credible information and proba

winning the lottery and retirement
Old info from the NASPL Is it true that the odds of winning the lottery are worse than being struck by lightning? No, even if we just consider the awarding of large jackpots. In 1996 1,136 people won $1,000,000 or more playing North American lotteries. An additional 4,520 won $100,000 or more. By contrast, 91 people were killed by lightning. More then a couple of dozen win the big one each year. $20 is the new $5 bill. BobP

Would you stop playing the lottery if you were restricted to Quick Picks?
JADELottery, True, but we both know that statistics can be played with all day long. I will say that for all the hoopla about systems, breaking codes, etc....(jackpot games) there are a whole bunch of drawings that do not produce a jackpot winner as opposed to the drawings that do. Anyone can become a member of the Missouri Lottery site and if you do they send out occasional surveys which include questions that ask if you would play a certain game. Part of those questions

Powerball changing in October to generate bigger jackpots
Oh, I definitely understand what they're trying to convey here but, is it not an increasing progression of failure at some point? I mean, I can respect players like yourself who are only looking for a cool second tier prize plus maybe the multiplier and you're as happy as a pig in a mud bath. However, by increasing the field, they can surely increase the second tier prize but it also makes it just that much harder to win it...it's still progressive. Sure, the difference in odds for a 2nd tier pr

Second Chance Drawings from the Lottery- Beating the Odds
The number of entries received are posted on the winners page. Superlotto averages betw 9-11 mil. Scratchers around 10-12 million Fantasy 5 around 150,000-170,1000 The scratcher end of game draws which are the big jackpots are of course being phased out, have much smaller number of entries.. The last end of game jackpot I thought I had a fair shot at it but alas, as it often happens, it went to the registered sex offender. I've stopped buying scratchers. Of course, I still

If There Were A Lottery School, Would You Take A Class?
Try this one: positional pick 5. Wheels are mostly mathematically sabotaged. The numbers don't come all in one line. If you can perfect the matching, you can reach jackpots. A 4 if 4 is mathematically denser than a 3 if 5. Going positional you score even better if you can decide for a successful key number. A small simple example with one key and 5if5 is sure if you don't miss the key number. In the other case you still get multiple 4/5 if 5 are in the 7 numbers. I also have a wheeler f

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Wish there was a feature to respond to multiple posts, but might as well do it all at once. The California Lottery seems to follow the same regulations with scratchers or scratch off tickets as the other states. On an earlier post, when tickets are circulated, a top prize needs to be included as well but the CA Lottery does not know the exact ticket but knows it falls within the exact range. They keep track of where each ticket set gets distributed to. Usually the number of tickets sold and t

Continue Wheeling??
So, I can understand darthfury78's point here. How many people ever win the lottery once, much less twice? I think I may take my winnings and enjoy my brief day in the sun as a minor lottery winner. Maybe I'll pick up a Powerball or MegaMillions ticket if/when jackpots get astronomically high...though I realize the odds of winning those are about a million times worse than winning Fantasy Five again. I was lucky...plain and simple. The odds are stacked against most of us and I beat 'em once.

Is owning an island on anyone's wish list
I like this one--just need 2 or 3 jackpots to afford it :) ABOUT ILE DE PAON Take advantage of the rare opportunity to own a private five and a one half acre deep water Island in the South Carolina Low country. The Island, located just 1400 feet across Jenkins Creek between Dataw and Polowana Islands, has its own dock with covered pier head and float. The Island is a true paradise with electricity and water on site and two septic permits in hand. With room for up to thr

When you purchase your MM/PB tickets are you not...
I think sharing a small starting jackpot would sting me a bit. Remember all those people who won 2nd prize playing fortune cookie numbers? Would I want to share my 40mil jackpot with 10 other players? NO! It would be awesome to have wo 4mil$ on a 1$ bet, but I intend to share with my family, and there is a lot of them. Also such small jackpots don't allow for any mishaps and missteps. If you win 300mil$ you put 50mil$ in a CDARS account, a gigantic rainy day fund. If any investments
