Florida couple claims share of historic $1.6 billion Powerball jackpot
I get all that. But the article clearly stated, Their biggest concern is security, now that their identities are revealed . Apparently they did not want their identities revealed, but rules are rules. So Florida lottery decided to screw them just for cheap publicity, like they really need it. SMH.

Jury: Lottery winner must pay ex-boyfriend part of winnings
The majority of posts here are based on the almost complete ignorance the posters have as a result of reading this one article. It's possible that the jurors got it wrong, but they made their decision based on far more knowledge than the posters whining about the decision.

Powerball at $112 million. Do you like Cynthia Stafford's chances...?
I searched for a LP discussion that mentions Stafford and people talked about her in a recent article about Holmes. I was trying to make a point that while discussions on LP about the curse of winning huge jackpots in general might be topical, starting a poll asking if Stafford will win another jackpot is silly at best. It evolved into a let's bash Cynthia thread.

When I got three, I said I was winning, Castillo said. He snatched it from my hand and ran to the bodega. He came back and threw me a t

Georgia Lottery winner killed during home invasion
PREACH ON. I was thinking the exact same thing. It's so weird. Maybe the stereotyper was trolling? What makes it so bad is that it was the first post after the article.

Georgia Lottery winner killed during home invasion
It's very sad that these things happen. When you win some decent money, your life changes forever. Security, safety must become first and foremost. The article says 3 masked men. hopefully one of them will talk.

Irish lottery site and ticket machines hit by DDoS attack
I think you should read the article. Camelot does not operate the Ireland Lottery. And it was not regular high demand that brought down the systems.
