Odds longer, prizes bigger as California joins Mega Millions
The odds of winning the Mega Millions lottery game got a bit longer on Wednesday, but the prizes also got sweeter.California became the 12th state in the Atlanta-based game, adding 36 million potential players that could swell the game's jackpots as high as half a billion dollars. At the same time, the odds of taking the grand prize were tweaked -- from one in 135 million to one in 175 million. We're not ever trying to hide the fact this is a very long-odds game, said Georgia Lottery CEO Margare

Mega Millions after CA joins
You have to define broken . It is true that the MA lottery website has this quote:Did you know..... Jackpots for The Big Game - Mega Millions are expected to reach up to a Mega $500 Million. And they have haven't even gone past $300 million. And with Texas added, are even more unlikely to do so. So the lottery bean counters may be disappointed, but I don't think the players or winners are disappointed in $50-$150 million. It is interesting that even before Texas was added, the lottery expect

Someone hit mega - needs a fix
Yeah but not all games are for everyone. You can't please everyone. I don't play pick 3 or pick 4 games yet most people here do. The pick 3 forum is the most active on this board. To me it's a waste of money, to the people who play it's exciting. I want a game that I can win a LOT of money. When jackpots reach a certain size and tickets spike upwards of 50+ million dollars in sales for just one drawing thats a lot of people who think just like me. Record jackpots bring record sales. Clearly the

Texas Mega Millions lottery sales strong
Texas Lottery players wanted larger jackpots, and that's exactly what they got with the Mega Millions game. One year after Texas joined the multi-state game, lottery officials say it's a hit. With Mega Million jackpots being so high, any Texas lottery player would get excited.Lottery officials brought the multi-state game to Texas last year to keep Texans from chasing large out of state jackpots. Players talk with their dollars, and their dollars have spoken loudly to the tune of almost $300 mil

Texas looking for its first Mega Million winner
Sometimes, the big dog's got to eat last.Texas is the largest state in the 11-member Mega Millions multistate lottery game, and it's the only one that hasn't had a jackpot winner. State lottery officials hope that dubious distinction ends with Friday night's drawing. On Thursday, the jackpot was bumped up to a stratospheric $290 million. If other states can have jackpot winners, we can too, said lottery director Reagan Greer. To be fair, Texas has been part of Mega Millions for just six months.

Ohio considering Match 6 clone
I think it's horrible. Both concepts. I personally like the Super Lotto Plus. Those lower jackpots aren't even worth playing for. I'd sooner just play the Buckeye 5 and have half a chance at winning. So basically the odds will be better but the jackpots will suck. Super Lotto Plus is good cause it goes no lower than $4 million. Easy enough to retire on and live off the interest even if you take the cash option. Those concept jackpots don't float my boat. If they do away with Super Lotto

worldjackpots for euro lotto players
its a good choice to play worldjackpots.heres its introductionThe other advantage of being entered in major JACKPOTS-ONLY Draws is that ALL cash prizes are bigger. More people want to play when Jackpots have accumulated, so more money goes into the prize pool - often at the last moment - if stories appear on TV and in the press. This means more money is shared among ALL WINNERS in that Draw. So not only is the First Division Prize bigger - the Second, Third and Fourth Division Prizes are ALL
