Office Pool concept
Instead of calling it a buy-in, call them entries. If it's a Powerball pool, each entry costs $2. If it's a MegaMillions pool, each entry costs $5.
If it's a MM pool for a large jackpot, someone can toss in $5 and get one entry, or invest $500 and get 100 entries.
The pool size is the number of entries = number of tickets purchased. You don't need 1,000 people for a 1,000 ticket pool. 50 people each buying 20 tickets would be 1,000 tickets in the pool. Or 1 person buys 1, another person

Thanks TheseStars ,
for incorporating Sum Codes in your excel data sheet as prior to current tally. I am working on a program to tally sum codes in a calender similar to Lottery Post's results calender for each month to underscore clearly defined patterns of their occurrences and frequencies from draw to draw , mid to eve, Eve to mid or mid to mid and eve to eve.
Additionally, adding an adjacent column for vtracs along side the draw results of sumcodes would make this a master piece ex

Judge temporarily halts Texas Lottery ban on courier, hints courier "will likely prevail"
Some lotteries have terrible odds for the amount of tickets sold. Texas Lotto is one of them. Your chances of winning are one out 25,827,125. So, let's assume the jackpot grows to $95,000,000 as example. The ticket is $1.00 so as a corporation with $billions, you use courier services and buy every combination. Guess what? You spent $25,827,15 plus the courier fee but you won $95,000,000. That is how much the smart guy in France won by the way a few years ago in the Texas Lottery. The Texas Lotto

Quick pick, Self pick or Self Random pick
I have a very scientific way...(LOL). I have a cup full of pennies numbered 1-54. I pull them one by one.
Yes, it's very possible to have one number hitting on each line (6 lines). Therefore, there would 3 lines without any winning numbers. Last week I had 2 lines with 2 correct numbers and 2 lines with 1 number each. So all 6 numbers were on 4 lines.
Here's the deal. All the winning numbers are on no more than 6 lines. That's 36 numbers (6x6=36). 18 numbers are eliminated. Odds of get

The Hoosier Daily 3 is Rigged
You guessed right in 5 drawings. Big deal.
I wrote a program to simulate that one -- guess two digits out of four.
The average number of drawings it takes to guess correctly is 10.
The probability of guessing correctly in 5 drawings or fewer is 40%.
This is a nonexistent bet you have created, picking 2 of 4 numbers in the next 5 drawings (two or three days at twice per day). There is no lottery game I know of that has a 40% chance of winning. Even if they did and paid you $2 per

First big win of new Mega Millions game is one ticket in Ohio worth $112 million
Man, the big kahunas at MM are in panic mode! I wouldn't wanna work in the media department there. Revenue is down and prize money is up, but they won't tell you that when it's easier to try and get us all excited by telling us about less people winning more money with the multiplier.
Based on the number of winners and the overall odds they took in an estimated $26.4M in sales and paid $5.2M in prizes to roughly 230,000 winners for the Friday, 4/19/25 draw, with the jackpot standing at $112

Mega Millions $5 price increase and game changes take effect this weekend
Ummm, correction needed...PB overall odds are just under 1/25.
I don't trust the system to assign a multiplier. The system will always give a fixed end result whereas the mechanical balls have a somewhat random aspect.
Not to worry, since I won't see another MM ticket until the jackpot hits $1.5B. I won't subsidize their greed when a third weekly drawing would have given them the same (or better) revenue than the ticket cost increase. I'm guessing PB wouldn't budget on their M-W-Sa drawi

I wanted everyone to know this.... I apologize for not congratulating each and everyone of you after the midday draw, I was away from my PC most of the day and by the time I logged back on, I hardly had any time to focus on the evening draw.
I just didn't want you folks to think I was being rude, plus I was also bummed for not playing 679, but my genius self thought I need to cut back on the daily amount I play, so I sure as hell picked the wrong time to be a cheapskate. lol
When I logge

Lottery couriers plead with Texas Lottery Commission in last-ditch effort
They need to isolate the problem of buying jackpots from the smaller games that don't have jackpots. People can only profit from buying all possible combinations in jackpot games that increase their prize amounts until someone wins.
It makes no sense to apply this law to smaller games like Pick 3 4 because the prize amounts never increase, so there is no point in buying all possible combinations.
Having a lot machines in a store is great.

will you play the new $5 mega millions?
P-6, Do you really believe that the MM head honchos will keep their word on starting at $50 M ?
Remember.... These are direct quotes from the MM website
10/18/2017 Mega Millions is being redesigned to bring more value to its players with larger starting jackpots and faster rolls. Starting jackpots will more than double from $15 million to $40 million, and jackpots will grow faster overall. There will be better odds to win $1 million prizes and higher secondary prizes.
