Any NJ Scratcher's?
I'm an NJ scratcher. I can't say if NJ is better or worse than other states, because the only other state I play in is NY. In NY, the prizes are higher for tickets $5 and up, e.g the typical top prize for a $5 ticket is $1 million, and in NJ it's $150k. However, in NY, you get paid over 20 years; in NJ, it's all at once (except for the Win For Life games). I look at the NJ lottery web site and read the details on the various scratchers. You can learn a lot this way and make more informed deci

What Would You Buy First After Winning Big
I know . . . I always worry about how I would keep the ticket safe, even overnight. Who in my family would spill the beans (only to their best friend) after promising to keep mum? How to explain quitting work and going on an impromptu vacation without notice? You can come back from vacation to find the house ransacked even without telling people there is a winning lottery ticket hidden in it. Take it with you, have your pocket picked, bag stolen. The one time I photocopied a winning ticket I lef

Matched four MM numbers tonight and won...
Well, I was out of my rinky dink town today so I cashed them in at a K-Mart (yeah, they're around for some reason) and the woman messed up and said one of my tickets was a loser, but I won seven dollars and then proceded to give me the money and the ticket back. Only thing is that she gave me the wrong ticket back and I knew I had a two dollar winner. So I told her and she checked again, getting it right this time. Well, a few minutes later I decided I'd buy five EPs there and had a manager do i

Twenty minutes later and five miles down the road...
Yesterday I bought two MM easy picks and the woman at the counter asked if I wanted them seperate or on the same ticket. That was the second time I was asked that in a row by two different people there so I took them seperately and made a comment on how they seemed to always share a lot of numbers when bought there. Apparently I wasn't the only one that noticed how there seemed to be more duplicate numbers from multiple easy picks on the same ticket than if they were seperate because someone els

Winning Mega Millions lottery ticket worth $56M sold in Michigan
In Oregon you have to go back to the store where you bought the ticket for big winners - over $600.00. No other store will be able to validate the ticket. Smaller amounts can be paid out by any store that sells lottery tickets. If you take a big winner ticket to a different store when the clerk checks it on the machine they get some weird message back that apparently says something like (not real sure here cuz I've never seen the actual message they get ... just have seen the consequences) it's

Nice Way to Start the Day
My luck has been pretty good lately. I was in a Pathmark in NJ on Sunday and I bought tickets from an electronic vending maching. I inserted a $10 bill with the intention of purchasing (3) $2 Big Money Spectacular and (2) other $2 tickets. I pressed the One Push Purchase button (or something like that), thinking incorrectly that it was for spending the whole $10 (and not getting change). Well, I next pressed the button for Big Money Spectacular and the machine proceeded to give me (5) tickets. T

Cheating.
Not sure what you mean by cheating on scratch off tickets!? Scratchers are the only game that once the ticket is printed and the roll put into the machine is impossible to cheat. You cant change what's already printed. My family won big on a scratcher a few years back. The money is gone now but we won! We had no idea we would win, simply scratched off the ticket like anyone else and it was a big winner! Didnt know we would win, just won, just like that,, it never happened before and never hap

North Carolina 12/1 - 12/31
I just bought my tickets and I played 464-144-962-125-916. When I was filling out my tickets I noticed a pick 3 ticket laying beside the pick 3 and cash 5 forms. I looked at the ticket and read 348 exact. I thought well not a winner, but the ticket is for tonight's drawing. Someone had left the ticket ( i guess my mistake ). I hope it brings me some fortune tonight. Even though I hate exact tickets, I can't complain. Also I went to va lottery website to check out their recent pick 3 informat

Great Moments in Scratchers
We were at the grocery store today and on the way out Mrs. Coin Toss gets two scratchers from the machine. So later on after we put the groceries up we went back out to have coffee at one of those quaint little Scottish places . She takes her tickets out and the machine had ripped them. Well, on one she could see that 6 was the winning number to match, and the first four numbers on her ticket were sixes. The prizes came to $20 but she wasn't sure the ticket was still good. I told
