$205 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges
Normally I would, but the number of $10M rolls has shown there is a lack of interest. If you look at that same link I posted, this is also stated:
Game Variety
Now that Mega Millions and Powerball are available (nearly) everywhere, we wanted to give players more variety. Powerball is now the premium lotto game with higher jackpots (most of the time; Mega Millions is still a big jackpot game); a $1 million second prize (second place is no longer the first loser ); and better overall odds. Florida woman cashes $21M Lotto ticket
Aleyda Montes de Oca, 54, of Key Largo, claimed the $21 million Florida Lotto jackpot the biggest haul of the year so far from the drawing held on April 28.
The $21 million Lotto jackpot is a bit of a rarity nowadays. Seven of the eight other winners so far this year have been under $10 million, and the eighth was only $12 million. Since Powerball came along, the jackpots aren't zooming up there as fast.
She bought her ticket at Tropical Supermarket, 28945 South Dixie Highway in Homestead.

Do some number combinations have better odds?
Yep, just as kls6417 said, it solely depends on how many balls are in play. The more balls, the more combinations there are and vice-versa...and the jackpots are more substantial with more balls. PB and MM's is a prime example and are set that high due to the difficulty level of matching ALL THE NUMBERS.
The less harder the game, the lower the jackpot/payout(s). This is also why when they, so say, revamped Powerball, they tried to offset the removal of (4) powerballs with a $2 hike in the pri

How many people are not sure how much they spend on the lottery?
I have no idea what I spend...I don't keep track.
Try to have at least $1 in for every Rolling Cash 5 drawing. (Ohio's 5/39 game, drawn 7 days a week.) When the jackpot starts getting bigger, I'll buy multiple tickets for a drawing.
Buy MM and PB tickets occasionally when the jackpots are getting higher.
Dabble in Ohio's Classic Lotto too, though I don't play it as much since the really big jackpot went. (Though it is growing again...)
I go in spurts with Pick3, Pick4, and scratch-of

Proposition for Powerball or MegaMillions...
lets say the jackpot reaches to: $600 million...which one is better a: $600 million powerball or a: $575 million Powerball but RNG...only for when it reaches to: $500 million and change...it it reaches to: $500 million and change 4 times a year or more: those $25 million difference can be for the state...something similar already goes on...MegaMillions have what it is it: 4 balls more than Powerball same is with the bonus ball so why not make the one that pays the most between the 2 get a: $25 m

This is a Bombshell for Powerball...
great idea pumpi...you might want to switch to MM as it is cheaper...equally hard...will have bigger jackpots...more people are watching...more people are playing...it is less of a rip off...and because i picked 4/5 correct yesterday...(or so i was told by another member)...and i dont play powerball until it reaches 500 million....and then only in a pool with people from Lottery post...which has not been organized yet and i dont know why...or maybe it is organized and i am still waiting for my i

Do most people who win the lottery jackpots buy just one Ticket or multiple tickets?
Hello SG ,
This style of topic has, and, will continue to be all the rage here at LP. After lots of research on past winners of all types of jackpots and scratch-offs, I'm thoroughly convinced that with such games it's much better to just stay within your budget and allow what's destined to happen just happen. See, there is such a thing as just trying too hard to accomplish a particular thing and purchasing two hand fulls of tickets isn't going to increase your odds of winning by very mu

Take 5 New York
6 11 is an all time pair...i dont mind sharing jackpots if its with you guys.... 25 thousand smackers is better than nada!!
as a matter of fact
i wouldn't be surprised if 6 10 11 hits again...
the 13 is riding high on the double bottom...not a favorable sign...only two times in history has the pattern gone from TR at 3 days to a 4 day skip... (for number 13)
the 11 is hitting downhill...much more favorable pattern....
i will be explaining these points on my thread...11 is one

CA Fantasy 5 (Five)
Not sure..... but it seems to me there are lots of people winning 50K jackpots.
Just because they are lucky or because they buy massive amount of tickets?
I usually buy abour 5$ a day to get that fantasy 5 bucks drawing game.
in the 250K game this week i played 25$.
got 3/5 one time
and 2/5 5 times - 5 replays out of the 5 replays i got one replay for free today.
is it worth the play time?
