Florida Lottery to update branding, Web site
Florida always seems to be way behind the curve with lottery Florida was the last state with a state lottery to join Powerball in 2009. One year later cross-selling between MM and PB began. Florida still hasn't joined cross-selling. Florida and Louisianna (joined PB in 1995) are now the only states with PB that haven't joined cross-selling MM. (and CA is the only state with MM that hasn't added PB). When MM jackpots get up there and are setting record highs a lot of Florida lottery s

Judge rules in legal dispute over $33M Lotto Max jackpot
Playing the devil's advocate, the question that needs to be asked is this: Is it within the realm of possibility that a lottery clerk could switch an unsigned ticket that someone handed them to be scanned? Unequivocally, the answer is yes. Perhaps Ted's suspicions were aroused by something that just didn't seem right at the time when the clerk checked his ticket and handed it back to him. Given the horror stories about clerks stealing jackpots and the amount of money at stake, perhap

Lottery Laws in the USA ??
What I'm saying is you could travel to any state or country with a lottery, walk into the local lottery store and buy a ticket, cash it if you win, take the money home or wire it whatever. Lottery states have a vested interest in keeping their sales stable. They would rather not have customers chasing jackpots around the country when they could be playing at home. This means they do not have to adjust the game to attract customers, etc. The word monopoly ring a bell? Until this mindset cha

Lottery Laws in the USA ??
BobP 2) It isn't illegal for you to purchase a lottery ticket from a location where its sale is perfectly legal..... BobP, Just curious. That being the case, why is Massachusetts the only state lottery that will sell subscription tickets out of state? Also, If I remember right, someone once posted something about a ceiling of $1 million on jackpot game payoffs on tickets bought on site, regardless of the advertised jackpots. Something to do with what you said about a butler serv

Oh Classic - Best Chances Of Winning With My Predictions
I am retired now. But when I did work, we always had a pool. If I was back in Ohio working, I would start a small pool of people. Either 15 people @ $10.00/wk or 30 people @ $5.00/wk. This way I would have the $150.00 to cover the 3 drawings per wk. But like you said, I will also follow the results of my predictions. I did a workup of all 50 predictions and here is the results after 685 drawings not counting last night. Jackpots = 4 - Total 37,800,000.00 5 of 6 = 48 @ 1,500.00 = 72,000.00

So much for anonymity. Illinois terminals
I'm not sure but I think that private firm that bought the Illinois lottery might be running things now. Even if not, there's been some changes. The tickets have a different look to them and are printed on much slicker paper now. Maybe someone in Illinois with a scanner can scan in and ole and new ticket There are new vido terminals that ahow screens of the jackpots for each game AND PICTURES OF WINNERS. I don't think I like this one bit. This isn't just jackpot winners either. Today it sh

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
if you have a system that works ......but trouble is...... you can't even crack the pick 3, to turn it into an i am raking in the dough bragging rights. we don't even need to discuss the jackpots 1,2 and 3 propositions when it comes to the reality check in here. i just think it's an interesting study in watching you guys high five yourselves over thin air accomplishments . it was a true statement when you said who cares if some anonymous person believes me or not when i hit a jackpo

What is a lottery system? What distinguishes a lottery system from guesses, dreams and quick picks?
This whole discussion is becoming laughable. When someone says that 70% of Powerball Jackpots are won with QuickPicks, you and your cohorts are quick to [rightfully] point out that the reason is because 70% of Powerball ticket purchases are QuickPicks. However, when someone claims that the reason the percentage of self pick (SP) winners is 30% is because the percentage of SP ticket purchases is 30%, you have a problem. You point to the highest 50 entries in a normal distribution of 4526
